Why Rice folks are so silent? funsogu, I see you are applying in R2? What's the status of R1 applicants? Less than 10 days left for R1 submission deadline.
Looking at upward trend in Jones's historic rankings, we see clear signs of Jones breaking in to T20 in near future. Thoughts?

Narenn I agree that Jones is on the upward trend. I predict Jones will be T20 in another 3 to 5 years. A lot of current students I spoke to had great things to say about the school. It looks like the current dean is doing an awesome job. I can't wait to click submit

Has anyone else found the Jones Admissions team unusually attentive? Not that I'm complaining, because it's one of the reasons Rice is my first choice, but wasn't sure if they were normally in the habit of reaching out directly to potential students they know are planning on applying.
For example, UT McCombs has only sent generic template emails from the "admissions staff," whereas I received a phone call from Rice asking if I had any extra questions prior to submitting my app.
Hopefully will see some of you there next year!

Yes they are. A current student once described Jones as the Google of MBAs to me. My original plan was to apply to only Jones during R1 but decided to also apply to McCombs since I can no longer meet the R1 deadline. Best wishes!

Good Evening Everybody! I’m so excited to send my application to Rice, I’m international student and since I’m still working and studying for the GMAT and TOEFLT I’m planning to R2 because of that, I’m so excited because I’ve been choosen to attend the Diversity event Rice the next week so I’m excited to meet current students and some staff also get involve in the Rice culture !!
Any advise would be helpful! I’m anxious about GMAT but hopefully I could get a good score... any of you guys have already send your applications? Share your experiences please
