I have been in contact with several people in the Rice university. I had applied in the first round and was wait listed. I had provided the university with updates and they had replied that they will respond on 19th March

Luis, I believe we met briefly at Diversity at Rice weekend. I'm anxious too, and hoping decisions start to roll out in the next day or so. Did you happen to apply through the consortium?

I just recieved my admit call! Looks like more R2 decisions will be rolling out soon.

I just got to know of another US applicant that got a decision last Friday, so my guess is that decisions started going out last week. :)

I am just not sure if those decisions were just stand alone decisions and a bigger wave is to come, or if decisions have been going since that date.

My advice to you is to live your life as if you were approved and try not to worry. Keep your hopes up and focus on something else!
