Hi souvik101990,

UCLA's website states that no matter the mode of communication in undergrad and post-grad, even Indians would have to provide TOEFL/IELTS score. Is there any way to apply for the waiver of English Proficiency Test?

Regards

Till last year it was impossible to get a waiver for TOEFL for any Californian schools. I do know of someone who got it UCLA TOEFL waived (or delayed rather) because there were no slots in December/Jan in India and he had a tight R2 deadline.

I would strongly recommend getting the TOEFL over with if you plan to do them. It is a very straightforward exam and does not take more than a few days of prep (I actually prepared for a few hours the day before).

Thank you bro !! Will plan it accordingly

Sept 28, Chat with UCLA Adcoms in GMATClub Chat Room

Hi Everyone, On Sept 28, admission team members of UCLA will be in our chat room to chat with prospective applicants. During the chat, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions about applying to UCLA's MBA program. We are also trying to involve few UCLA current students in this chat. Don't let this opportunity go begging and tune in at the stated date and time to get some first hand insights from adcoms (and students probably). With less than 20 days to R1 deadline, I hope the chat session will prove to be very helpful. Feel free to ask last minute application tips, Dos n Don'ts before submitting your application, and everything that you feel you must get clarified.

Looking forward to a huge turnout! :-)

Presenter:

Ilana Van Allen, Associate Director, MBA Admissions, UCLA Anderson.

Date & Time: Friday, Sept 28, 2018; 9am Pacific Time (12pm ET, 5pm BST, 9:30pm IST)
Join Link: GMATClub Chat Room

!
Those who can't attend the session but have questions for adcoms, can PM their questions to me.

This thread is surprisingly quiet given the approaching deadline!

Are you guys still applying in R1?

In my case it's because I'm still finishing up my essays... :-D

Nothing like the last minute! I'm excited, though! Anyone else on the East Coast applying?

Thank you all who participated in our recent UCLA adcom chat. I am posting here transcript the chat for our friends who couldn't attend the chat session.

Transcript of the Sept 28th UCLA Live Chat.

"Our three pillars (basically our "core values") are share success, think fearlessly, and drive change. In addition to a strong academic (gpa, gmat OR gre) and strong professional profile, we like to see that there is nice fit between our own core values and ours. One way to demonstrate this is through your past and current extracurricular and volunteer activities (which you tell us about in your application, resume, and/or essays) the clubs/activities you’re interested in joining at Anderson, as well as your career goals (and how there’s alignment between what you’d like to achieve and what resources/expertise we offer). For more information, check out our MBA blog, where we answer this question and others! https://mbablogs.anderson.ucla.edu/" - Dorry Guerra - Associate Director of MBA Admissions, UCLA Anderson

Based on last year’s timeline, it seemed like invites for interviews started going out as early as this week.

But this thread is surprisingly quiet!

Based on the update, 2 people already got invited. Not sure from which part of the world. I myself am still waiting. Hopefully.

Hello,

all the Indian Applicants: Has anyone of you been invited for the interview?

The thread is surprisingly quiet. Last year, by this time the interviews had rolled out.

If anyone from India/Asia has got an interview call, please post it here in the thread.

Cheers,

A

There is one I know from clear admit already received an invite end last week (first wave I presume) who’s a Chinese residing in Singapore. I hope there is a new wave coming.
