UCLA's website states that no matter the mode of communication in undergrad and post-grad, even Indians would have to provide TOEFL/IELTS score. Is there any way to apply for the waiver of English Proficiency Test?

Till last year it was impossible to get a waiver for TOEFL for any Californian schools. I do know of someone who got it UCLA TOEFL waived (or delayed rather) because there were no slots in December/Jan in India and he had a tight R2 deadline.

I would strongly recommend getting the TOEFL over with if you plan to do them. It is a very straightforward exam and does not take more than a few days of prep (I actually prepared for a few hours the day before).

Based on last year’s timeline, it seemed like invites for interviews started going out as early as this week.

But this thread is surprisingly quiet!

Based on the update, 2 people already got invited. Not sure from which part of the world. I myself am still waiting. Hopefully.

There is one I know from clear admit already received an invite end last week (first wave I presume) who’s a Chinese residing in Singapore. I hope there is a new wave coming.
