I’ve been lurking here for a while and noticed there aren’t many tools for practicing specifically the Kira Talent/blind online interview many schools are starting to use. I personally did the Kellogg Kira interview without much preparation (thankfully still got in).

I’m a developer, so I built a tool specifically for this setup: Ready on Record. It works like the real thing, you get a random question you haven’t seen before, prep for a few minutes, record your answer in one take, and get an AI-generated scorecard with scores on clarity, structure, content, and delivery.

I’d genuinely love feedback from this community since you’re exactly the people who’ve actually sat through a Kira Talent interview and know what it feels like.

Happy to answer questions about how it works and thanks for your time!

I’ve already taken the GRE and TOEFL.
While I’m waiting to start working on my essays, I’m preparing for the interviews. I’m still concerned about the Wharton TBD. I would d be interested if you know of any study groups.

Hey guys, Do you need an external camera for the GMAT Online exam that continuously shows the whiteboard and desk during the entire exam, or is the normal MacBook camera enough?

From what I understood online, you only need to briefly show your desk and whiteboard at the beginning. I couldn’t find anything clearly stating that both must remain visible on camera during the whole exam.

Or do you actually need to buy an extra external webcam for that?

Hi vijayapragati,

If you’re getting scores like 745-755 on your official practice tests and if the GMAT fee isn’t an issue, you should absolutely take the GMAT. You can always apply later, after a few years (GMAT scores are valid for 5 years).

Hi All,
I am through with GMAT . What the next steps are ; or If there is a section on GMAT club where it is outlined what next, appreciate it.
here’s a plan - see where you stand. A. Independent of, and in parallel, to B
- Building (packaging) your profile by going through reflections*
- Finalizing CV*
- Developing pointers for Recommenders*
- Figuring out financials

B. Key Milestone*: GMAT / GRE - you needed to have got this done by May’26 latest, including any reattempts
- if you are an ORM, then please target 695+/330+
- scores are just a defense to help you not get rejected (but that is not the same as getting selected)

C. Dependent on B:
- Research & shortlist schools*
- Networking with students*
- Attending webinars / events*
- Drafting essays using the insights from reflections*
- Securing LORs*

* denotes time-consuming activity

Hi everyone,

I am preparing my application for postgraduate programs for the September intake in UK colleges, and a few colleagues from my previous organization are willing to provide Letters of Recommendation (LORs).

I am a bit confused about how the LOR submission process usually works.

- Does the recommendation letter need to be on the company’s official letterhead, or is it acceptable if the recommender sends an email directly from their official company email ID?

I’m very new to this entire process, so any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks!

For most schools it’s more of nice to have rather than a mandatory requirement. You do need to give your recommenders work email though.

Hi ereqwq,

There are 6 official practice tests. Maybe your other scores were on nonofficial tests?

If you weren’t already familiar with the questions on those tests, you’re most likely going to do really well on the GMAT. All the best!

Hey Applicants,

I’m Jenifer Turtschanow, CEO of ARINGO MBA Admissions Consulting, and I’d like to invite you to join me for a live coffee chat on one of the biggest challenges in MBA admissions: standing out in a competitive applicant pool.

Every year, I speak with applicants who have strong academics, solid work experience, and competitive test scores, yet struggle to differentiate themselves from other candidates with similar backgrounds.

In this session, we’ll discuss how AdComs evaluate applicants, what makes an application memorable, and practical ways to strengthen your overall story through your essays, recommendations, and professional experiences.

I’m very new to this entire process, so any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Mostly the process is that you record the email ID of the nominated recommender. The school’s portal then sends a link to the recommender, who needs to open that link and record their responses to various questions in the link/portal. In such instances, there is no letterhead involved. In some cases, schools give the option to upload a document instead of typing out the text. In these cases, it is advisable to ask the recommender to upload their response on an official letterhead. An email directly from them to the schools should be the last resort and should have a reason behind e.g. tech glitch in the link sent by the school, etc.

Hey everyone! Looking for honest guidance from people who’ve been through the MiM application process 🙏

About me:
- Indian, 20 years old
- B.Com at a Panjab University affiliated college (non-elite)
- Sem 1 SGPA: 5.9 | Pending papers in Sem 2 & 3 (working on clearing them as already gave re appear exams as I had health issues and family stuff)
- ACCA: 3/13 papers done (Applied Knowledge level and paused for now due to toxic mentor and bad institution )
- Targeting MiM Sept 2027 at HEC Paris, ESSEC, INSEAD, ESCP, emlyon
- GMAT prep ongoing, target August 2026 through e-GMAT
- Cannot do in-person activities right now — fully remote accept for I have signed up in local NGO
- Also writing e-book and starting YouTube for documentary, experience sharing, giving knowledge on things I know or learning
What I need help with:

1️⃣ What extracurriculars actually matter for top MiM applications when everything has to be remote? (Forage, Inside LVMH, online consulting projects etc — am I on the right track?)

2️⃣ Is hiring an admissions consultancy worth it for a non-elite Indian profile? If yes, which ones actually helped you for French MiMs specifically?

3️⃣ How do I handle the pending papers and non-elite college story in essays without it hurting me?

4️⃣ Any general advice for someone 15 months out with this profile? And I am targeting R1 and R2

Really grateful for any guidance please and how to use cold emails, LinkedIn for my case and any particular people to connect

Got it. You may have forgotten most of the questions by now, so maybe you can still use the official practice tests? Otherwise, you’ll have to use sectional tests or switch to nonofficial tests. I’m sure you’re already aware of all this, so my reply is probably not too helpful.

All the best.

Sometimes the issue happens with newly-registered accounts. Just keep actively engaging with the community - participating in chats, replying to posts, and using the GMAT Club Timer to solve questions in the question bank. Usually the source filters appear for you in a few days.

Hope y’all are doing well. I wanted to reach out because I’m looking to get access to Applicant Lab, but the subscription cost is a bit steep for me right now.

I posted on Reddit asking if anyone had a spare promo code or an unused subscription they’d be willing to pass on, but unfortunately I didn’t get any responses. I thought I’d reach out directly in case anyone might know of a code, discount, or someone who purchased a subscription but isn’t using it anymore.

Thanks so much in advance!

Heyy all!
Ru this side from India. I completed my Graduation from Symbiosis with a major in advertising in 2022. I have been working since then, for the past 4 years in marketing.
While I am sorted in work experience, i am lacking in extra curriculars. I was never a very extroverted leadership kind of student in school or college. That is something that really developed during my work, and within my work experience. And with the work, it’s been difficult to do/focus on other things to build the extracurricular side of my profile.
I just like to crochet, color, knit and do some other creative relaxing activites on the side, but nothing functional, commercial or utility based tbh.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice for this?

Hi! I’m Hardik from India. I’m planning my career and hope to pursue an MBA in the US in the future. I’m currently exploring schools like Ross/Fuqua and would really appreciate 15–20 minutes of your time whenever you’re free. I want to understand the real experience—admissions, scholarships, loans, internships, placements, and whether it’s worth it for someone planning to return to India. Thank you!

Are you applying without a GMAT or GRE score?

Many top MBA programs now offer GMAT/GRE waivers for qualified applicants, so you may have more options than you think.

If you’re unsure whether you qualify, Jenifer Turtschanow, CEO of ARINGO, is offering free profile evaluations for a limited time. She’ll review your profile, help you understand which schools may offer a waiver, and advise whether applying with a waiver or submitting a test score is the stronger approach.

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate an honest evaluation of my profile for ISB PGP.

Profile:

* Gender: Female
* 10th: 9.8 CGPA
* 12th: 81.8%
* B.Tech: 8.24 CGPA
* Work Experience (at the time of application): ~2.5 years
* Clarivate – Research Engineer (Patents): 9 months
* Capgemini – Cisco TAC Network Engineer: ~1 year 9 months

I am currently preparing for the GMAT.

I have a few questions:

1. How competitive is my profile for ISB PGP?
2. What GMAT Focus score should I target to be competitive?
3. Is 2.5 years of work experience on the lower side, or is it sufficient for ISB admissions?
4. What areas of my profile should I strengthen before applying (leadership, extracurriculars, certifications, essays, etc.)?

I’d be grateful for feedback from current students, alumni, or applicants. Thank you!

Hi Ruchi,

I’m also applying for this program. I think the profile and academics look good overall.
What I’ve heard is General Engineer (Male - generally) is tough, and demands a little higher score than anyone with other profiles. However, that shouldn’t be considered as a bugger, because profile and career trajectory, and also impact made in current role counts equally. So, a good score clubbed with your profile should be good enough to secure your admission.

Having that said, I’m also working on my GMAT, and not applied yet. The above advise is a summary of what I learnt from admissions counselor and few connections who studied at ISB.

All the best!
