GIVEN:
space= 1,2,3,4,5,6
cars=A,B,C,D,E,F
A and B are adjacent
STATEMENT 1: B, C are in even spaces
STATEMENT 2: Dand E are in odd spaces
in accordance- B, C positions can be= 2,4,6
D,E positions can be 1,3,5
caluclating the possibilities the answer should be
F, C, D, E, A, B
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
on the bases of one statement provided it is immpossible to culminate the possiblities, so both statements are necessary for the answer

both statements are sufficient together and none individually because

given that A and B are neighbours we know one is even and other is odd and we know there are 3 odds and 3 even numbered parking spaces
in statement one since both BC are even numbers we can infer that A is in odd numbered space and B ,c in even that leaves us with 1 even and 2 odd spaces to be filled with F , D, E if we dont use the 2nd clause we cant say for sure that F is on even or odd space and can't say if it can be in 1 .
But adding second clause we can say that since DE fill odd spaces f has to be at even and thereforer cnt be in space 1

A and B are parked next to each other.
Is car F parked in space 1?

1) B & C are parked in even numbered space.
B & C = 2,4,6
We don’t know about D,E.... any order is possible.

2) D & E parked in odd numbered space.
We don’t know about B,C.....any order is possible.

Both (1) & (2)
Even parked spaces (2,4,6) must contain B, C and either (A or F).
If B is parked in 2, A is parked in 1 or 3.
If B is parked in 4, A =3,5
If B is parked in 6, A=5.

As we can see in every order A is parked in odd position. Hence, F must be parked in even numbered parking and not in space 1. Hence, it is sufficient.

B - 2nd statement is enough

If D/E occupy 3 & 5 then A & B will have to be in 1st and 2nd spot. In other cases we can assume D/E have occupied the first spot, but this also tells us that F will not be on the 1st spot then either ways.

Known Info - A and B are always together (adjacent each other)

S1 - not enough - Case 1 - suppose if B occupies spot 2, A can occupy 1 or 3, rest all cases F may or may not occupy 1
but key thing to note in S1 is when B and C occupy even spaces, A must occupy odd spaces (1,3,5)

S2 - not enough on its own to say if F is in 1st space or not

C - S1+S2 = B and C occupy even spaces, one even space is left (random we don't know which), D and E occupy odd - 2 spaces
A should occupy the third odd space as it is adjacent to B so, the 1st space is either occupied by D,A or E so we know for sure that F is not in the first space

I got ans C.

In the first option it's clearly insufficient as we A can take either spot 1 or 3 in case B is at 2 and so on if B is at 4 or 6.
Statement 2 is also clearly insufficient as there are multiple ways of filling the spots.

Combining both statements, F will never get position 1

Statement 1 - B, C are parked in even space - can be 2, 4, 6. Since A is parked next to B, it must take an odd space - 1, 3 or 5. Cannot determine which space others would take. NS.
Statement 2 - D, E are parked in odd space - can be 1, 3, 5. Does not provide any info on others. NS

Together - A, D, E are parked in odd spaces. Since there are only 3 odd spaces which are now occupied. Sufficient.

Statement 1: Since this blocks 2/3 spots, we can easily have any of the below orders
F | C | A | B | D | E --> F is in space 1
OR
A | B| D | C | E | F --> F is not in space 1
Since there is no definite Yes/No, data is insufficient

Statement 2: This blocks 2/3 odd spots, but if we tried to place F in spot 1 (for a definite Yes) we get:
F | A | D/E | B | D/E | C --> As you can see, no order allows A & B to be next to one another, as stated in the stem.
Hence, it is a definite no.

S2 is sufficient.

It should be like if 2 alone is sufficient to answer the question as spot 1 is reserved for F A&B needs to be together.
And IF D&E are taking odd spots. Then no possible solution exists as this would voilate the request of A&B together.

given: A and B are next top each other.

find: is F at parking space 1?

1) We know that B-C are parked in even spaces, and A-B are together. B-C can be parked in places 2-4, 4-6, 2-6
If B is in 2nd place, A can be in 1st or 3rd, which is not clear. Of course, when A is on the 1st place, F cannot be there. Or, C can be in 2nd place, and F can be in 1st. The information is not enough
2) D-E can be parked on 1-3, 3-5, 1-5
In case of 1-3, F cannot be parked 1st.
In case of 3-5, there are only two adjacent spaces for A-B, spaces 1-2, which means that F cannot be the 1st.
In case of 1-5, F cannot be parked 1st.
There it is - 2 is enough by itself, while 1 is not enough - B

2. Cars d and e are odd. Could be abdcef or f?d?e? ---> wait there is no way to have AB adjacent, f in space 1, and d and e odd. 2 is suff--> answer B

how many odds are occupied D and E (2)
cars A and B req 1 odd space making it 2+1=3 100% occupied
no space for c and f so f must be in an even space

That makes statement 2 sufficient.

F,B,A,C,D,E where B is in 2, and c in 4. F in 1

Statement -1: Has multiple possibilities as below.
P-1: ABFCDE
P-2: FBACDE..

Statement -2: For position-1 there are multiple possibilities but none of them has F in position-1.

Explanation : There are total 3 odd number places, out of which two are occupied by D and E. Since A and B are together one of them will occupy an even place and the other odd. Hence the three odd places including the first place are taken up. So F cannot be in the space-1.

Hence statement 2 alone is sufficient
