For F to be at 1,
we need either A or B at odd places out of 3 and 5, since both needs to be adjacent.
In statement 1,
B and C can occupy any 2 places out of 2,4,6. Which leaves no conclusion for F to be at 1.
If B takes 2, then A may or may not take 1. Thus this is not enough.
Now, in statement 2,
if D and E occupies remaining odd spaces, there is no odd space left for either A or B.
Thus, F can't be at 1.
Therefore, statement 2 is enough alone.
Option B.
we need either A or B at odd places out of 3 and 5, since both needs to be adjacent.

I'm unsure because if b & C are in even = 2 , 4 ,6 NO way to confirm F at 1st
Same for D & E on odd 1 3 5 we can't say if its confirm F in 1st place and combing both also didn't full fill the condition A & B next to each other so I got confused with option C & E maybe I need to learn more. Thanks!

A and B are neighbours so one is even and the other is odd
Statement (1) alone : B and C are even --so A (B's neighbour) must be odd
not enough
Statement (2) alone: D and E are odd
that uses 2 of the 3 odd spots, but the last odd spot could belong to A,B,C or F

Together:
(1) tells us A is odd
(2) tells D and E are odd
so A,D,E TAKE up all of 3 spots (1,3,5)
that forces B,C,F into even spots (2,4,6)
