Got an interview Invite. Any idea how many people does Rice or any other similar ranked school invite? Whats the seats to interview ratio? 1:4? 1:3? Rice has some 120 students. Thanks !

Just finished my Zoom (virtual) interview. It lasted about 40 minutes, was with a 2nd year student. The interview was very relaxed and in some way informal. It was mainly about getting to know me, my career and leadership experiences. I got asked the typical “why an MBA now? and why Rice?” I enjoyed it, the interviewer was very friendly.

Do the interviewer have our complete profile or just the resume during interview.

It is a blind interview i.e. the interviewer will only have your resume for reference. He/she will not be aware of the other aspects of your application such as GMAT score or essays. The interview is very conversational and revolves around getting to know the applicant better. The interview is conducted by second-year students and the questions are very generic. The interviewer will conduct the interview in a very warm and friendly environment. Nothing to worry and go ahead and enjoy the experience.

Any international students here who have received admits (and planning to accept the offer)? I’m losing my mind over what to do next. Setting up a bank account, finding roommates, grocery supplies, etc. Anyone here who has figured this out? When is a good time to arrive? Orientation is on 5th of August for international students. Round 1 applicants, when did you find out if you were admitted? Did they release everyone's decision on Dec. 15th or did they do it on a rolling basis?

Should i be hopeful for Rice anymore? I applied in R2 this January

Decision date deadline is on Friday, March 29. It's too early to communicate decisions. Stay put, hopes up.

I haven't received interview invite yet. I was referring to that.

Oh... I see. It's hard to tell because we don't know how many applications Jones received. It could be slow because they received many applications. So far, on the decision tracker, only 4 people were interviewed. Keep your hopes up.
