Calling all Olin (St Louis) MBA Applicants:(2019 Intake) Class of 2021

I am completely loss with that essay. Dont know what they expect. Dont think all good business people must be into social media. Think how influential it was tells more about your friends than yourself. I am considering giving up because of that essay. Have you found any guidance for it?

Debriefing Essay Question - " Tell us about your top five most influential social media posts. (500-word maximum)"

Most of us are on multiple social media platforms. Some maybe more active than others. Adcoms here want to analyze your choice of posts that you like to share with the world. It maybe your recent trip to Europe or an article about upcoming business trends. But try to avoid personal posts as you are applying to a business school. On any social media platform, you choose what to post and what not to. And even in this essay you will again choose which posts to mention. It will be tricky to explain 5 posts in 500 words so make sure you don't consume a lot of words for just 1 post. Lastly, in this essay too you need to focus on the results your posts achieved.

Has anyone who applied round 1 heard back from Olin on interview invites?

I applied in round 1 and havent heard anything yet.

i beleiev they just started reviewing applications!

I received an email for some missing docs on 14th Nov.
So i guess the process i delayed.

Hey has anyone received an interview call from Olin. I had applied in R1 and I am yet to hear from them. There has been no communication from the school.

No response round 1 reapplicant also. Last year was interviewed and then rejected. This year dont know what is happening. Their portal has changed they want recommendations now and new essays this year in application. Maybe adcom has changed so the delay. Notification deadline is 19 december dont know if they expect to interview people all in one day

You have a huge list of schools. I can't imagine how you would be gathering energy to work on all those apps. Hats off to your efforts and commitment.

Friends, last year invites had started at the end of Oct and most of the invites had been our by 2nd week of Nov. But delay this year, as pointed out by Saadim, could be due to change in the management. Wondering if anyone wrote to the admissions to enquire about invites.

Narenn thanks for acknowledgement. I have couple of admite last year as well but wanted to make informed decision as MBA happens only once and stays with you for lifetime hence one should never rush but assess all options.

Btw I have become kind of essay guru by now??

I got an interview invite from Olin just today. International applicant here. They have given interview slots for Skype until next Friday. It is strange that they processed my application on Sunday US time. All of you who are waiting, I believe invites will start rolling in.
