It is over
I don't understand the calling part as well as taking interviews which are short.. I answered all my questions but still maybe missed something? how come :/
Me neither. In my case it’s even worse. I had a student reach out to me last week if I had any questions about the program. With the timing, I was almost certain I was in since he was a student ambassador and possibly making sure I was interested. But I guess not...
This whole process is incredibly emotionally draining. They should time rejections at the same time as admits so we aren’t here guessing how all this works. Moreover, why even invite over for an interview if I just don’t have the stats to get in? Like what’s the point? I’ve interviewed for several schools. 3/4 interviews went incredibly well. Yet at the end of the day my stats are just too low to admit me. Getting a rejection is a lot easier if I don’t get an interview and have good rapport with the interviewer post interview...
Posted from my mobile deviceI cannot agree more. I have a 660 gmat with 6 years of management consulting work ex. I know my profile is brilliant. Very much a top 10 kinda profile. But i just cant score on gmat somehow. I applied to 10 schools this year. Got called by just foster in Jan. Gave my interview, feeling now that I am done I can focus on GRE maybe. Went full throttle and was preparing well. Suddenly get a call from Olin. I was like, I am chose will give my best and get in this time.
I left studying for GRE. Interview day came. I gave an awesome interview. To the extent that she said you have it in you what we are looking for and Olin is in line with your aspirations. It is a huge thing to say.
But i didnt know of course that being an indian male with a 660 gmat. Should have not just applied. Even though i will get a call and no matter I might have the best intterview this college ever saw, even then they wont give me an admit. Then why waste my time? Then why make me suffer. If gmat is your criteria, just say it right away. Don't ignite the fire to put water on it. It burns more than just being rejected without an interview.
Giving an amazing interview to be rejected? Utterly disappointed.
