Missed the second one. Assumed :( protection against diseases => healthy immune system.

Hi,
I would like to know why the answer for 2nd question cannot be E.If one cant assume resistance to diseases is immunity, they never explicitly mentioned about cardio vascular system, right?

Please suggest

Hi Kona,

Thanks for participating! The answer for question two can't be E because of the first sentence of the second paragraph: Exercise works its magic in many ways. It improves the power and efficiency of the heart;. This means that the efficiency of the cardiovascular system is improved. For answer A it's important to realize that "protect against diseases" is not the same as a stronger and more efficient immune response. There are body functions that protect against diseases that have nothing to do with the strength or effectiveness of the immune system. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Happy Studies,

A.

"That leads, Dr Ling notes, to the hypothesis that one reason exercise is good for you is because it improves the ability of fatty tissue to do its job."

For question 1 this led me to select B instead of D. The word hypothesis makes me think that exercise could help with fat storage, rather than clearly demonstrating it.

for 4th, I went for A. Could anyone explain how is that C? If one deduces C, anyhow A is also pretty deducible..

gotta revive the thread.. is B wrong in question number 4 because of the first part of the sentence?
and for B in question number 1, I chose D just because it sounds like a better answer, since I do not know efficient is equivalent to healthy fat storing in the passage.

Increasing the number of work-out sessions per week will increase the benefits of exercise
This isn't stated anywhere in the article so B is wrong.

Thanks for the response, there are a lot of other questions on there but they do not appear to be on the forum anymore after the 6ht or 7th passages. Is an answer explanation key available for purchase?

Hi Andrew,

Regarding q4,i chose A ( as it was stated "The men were supposed to attend three workouts a week").

The answer is however C (Physiological changes from exercise can be observed in as little as six months of moderate work-outs).

Could you please mention why C is correct and why A is incorrect. Appreciate your help !
