Welcome, all IIM Ahmedabad class of 2022 hopefuls.

The deadline for Round 1 applications is 31st August 2020.


The deadline for Round 2 applications is 19th October 2020.


The deadline for Round 3 applications is 4th January 2021.



Interesting Addition: Round-3 added this year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Following are the basic criteria for the PGPX Application:

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline. (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India i.e. 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be.)
• Minimum Age of 25 years as on 31st March of the year in which the PGPX programme commences. (E.g. For PGPX 21-22 commencing in April 2021, the candidate should have completed 25 years of age by March 31, 2021, i.e. must be born on or before March 31, 1996.) There is no upper age limit.
• A valid GMAT/GRE score (GMAT/GRE scores are valid for five years from the date to the application deadline date of the round in which candidate is applying. The earliest acceptable GMAT/GRE test date for the three rounds are - Round 1: June 23, 2015 Round 2: September 12, 2015 Round 3: November 10, 2015
• Minimum 4 years of full time work experience after completion of graduation as on March 31, 2021

I attended the session
Key takeaways-
1. Application to start from 22nd june for round 1
2. They are not expecting impact of covid on next batch
3. Interviews will be conducted across various locations in India and through skype for international applicants
4. Gmat or gre score is required, although you can apply without it initially, but they would need a gmat score before final decision
5. Don't expect Placements in companies like Bain, McKinsey since these ppl mostly hire junior consultants and PGPX is for experienced candidates ( prof mentioned PGP is forkids and PGPX is for adults)
6.No specifc cutoff for gmat, however average score is 702
7. Avg work exp is 9 years for last batch
8. They are expecting applicants to be honest in their applications, clearly chart out why MBA is required, how current exp has helped, etc..they want individuals who are not mugshots and have intuitive and interesting personalities..

Hi everybody,

I am trying to apply to the one year IIMA PGPX program for the class of 2021-2022. As you already know, the admission timelines for R1 are out - Jun 22, 2020 to Aug 31, 2020.
However, I am having issues in the online portal - the URL is not found or I get a message saying 'Registration to the portal is closed'. I have also written to their email (pgpxquery@iima.ac.in), but havent got any response.

Is anyone else facing this issue? Please help!
