Yeah, I agree. If you get anywhere near 700 on the GMAT, you should be thinking top 10. Great GPA, spot on experience and age, and you are a woman. You might also consider get involved in some extracurricular activities before next year - that might help.

Hey y'all

I'm 08 app as well. Basics of my profile:

White guy - American
3.1 state school
700 GMAT - 47Q/40V, 6.0 AWA
3.5 years at matric
Experience: Int'l work ex w/ an Investment Bank - been living in an emerging market for 2 years. Being an expat is oh so fun. 8-)

Target schools: Still need to figure it out, career goals are general mgmt, biz dev, entrepreneurship. Any input? Thinking along the lines of Michigan, Kellogg, MIT, Cornell...and maybe safeties include UNC, Georgetown, UT...any input would be super! Prob want to stay away from Finance strong programs such as Wharton, NYU, etc...

What is considered near 700? I am struggling with the math section of the GMAT right now, as I forgot basic algebra that I learned 10 years ago... What score do you think will be the bottom limit to have a good chance for a top 20?

Take a look at the profiles. It's either BW forums all over again or there's going to be some hefty GMAT scores to compete with.
