Just wanted to post my impressions of Admit Weekend. I've been to Stanford before, but never the GSB, so these are really my first impressions.
1. Wow. The weekend was a ton of fun, and I met a bunch of amazing (and really cool) people. I undoubtedly fell for the message they were trying to pitch, but I came away with the feeling that anything's possible at the GSB. It's this tremendous energy, an almost inspired feeling. Yeah, I know... I fell hook, line, and sinker
2. The GSB classrooms and building are nothing to write home about. In fact, they're pretty lame. But you can step right out of the classrooms and onto the lovely Stanford campus
And Schwab (the first-year dorm) is really nice.
3. I know weather isn't supposed to play a role in admit/matriculation decisions... but jeez, after four years in New England and three days of California sunshine, I'm hooked.
4. No info on application volume or other stats, unfortunately. Derrick said he'd tell us about that stuff at matriculation.
Happy to answer any questions, of course. And good luck to everyone waiting on interviews and decisions!
