A few minutes ago Apple approved 1.3.2 update. So, now scanning SC and CR forums is easy and fast.
Thanks for your feedback!

My comments and suggestions, specially to bb if you are reading this.

Comments
-----------
1. The timer at the top of the questions is great idea. Brilliant.
2. I have downloaded GMAT Toolkit into my iPhone.
This is just amazing way to keep in touch with you study plan/preparation all the time.
I am not able to use my travel time to and fro from work to study using my phone.
The lessons has been designed very nicely and cosmetic effect is very appealing.
Applications ability to scan CR and SC questions and then add to your question bank is great.
Creators of this tool, i bow to you and you get 4/5 from me.

Suggestions for the GMAT Toolkit
---------------------------------
1. Besides SC and CR, can the tool also have the PS, DS scan as well please??
It will be great help.
2. Can we have the options in 'setting' to scan and download a certain difficulty of questions or
after affter download only work on a certain difficulty of questions.
(By Difficulty is mean 600-700 or 700-800 level question)
This will help greatly by targeting your need and gradually progressing to next difficulty level.
3. Can we have option to categorise the Work Set if needed. Categories into PS,DS,CR,SC

NOTE : If any of the features are already there and i am not aware then excuse me and teach me please.
I did not mention RC here as i realise it might be difficult for users to read it on the phone.

Thanks,

Hi Chauhan2011,
Thanks for feedback, ideas and warm words!

1. PS,DS - The only one reason that prevent me from adding these types of questions is formulas. Unfortunately, it is not clear now what to do with formulas that represented by code like this \frac{a+b}{c+d} and rendered by special LaTeX software on the server side... at the same time saving them as images is too complex... Maybe the best temporary solution to make it possible is transforming LaTeX code to simple expressions, for example, \(\frac{a+b}{c+d}\) or \frac{a+b}{c+d} will be (a+b)/(c+d)... What do you think?

2. Great idea! Let me think how we can implement it.

3. It is exactly what we are trying to do now. There are some technical difficulties but I'm sure we will overcome them.

Thanks again!

I bought iPod only for this, otherwise I hate what apple stands for. Anyway, I think considering money value proposition, this app is expensive.
I have some questions: can we get a "guess" option in the timer tool?
Can we get a chat tool?
Can we get a sort option in the timer? So that we can sort the answers by time taken and wrong answers.

1. "Guess" option? Hm... I think it's a good idea.
2. We are not ready to add chat now but I will keep that in mind.
3. Let me see what I can do. It seems to be not so difficult.

Thanks for feedback!
I sent you PM with a few additional questions.

By the way, I'm going to submit 1.3.3 update this weekend and hope to add features you suggested.

I noticed one problem in the OG Quant 1 DS section: all the questions are numbered 1.

Is it possible to edit the db storing these answers and times? I ask this because before storing my log in this app I was using logging it on my PC. Would it be possible to save the times and the answers by hacking the db manually?

I'm afraid it will be difficult...Apple has a closed platform that doesn't allow access to files. Otherwise, I think you could...it has to be a simple XML DB file, not sure.

Added: I have and idea how to solve this problem! Let me play with the app :)

Hi Prac,

1. New questions: tap Start button(s) in the Set for SC or CR and the app will add (cache) questions posted at GMAT Club's forum
2. News: tap reload button at top-right corner of the News tool and all feeds will be updated.

Let me know if you still have problems with the app.

Best,
Walker

Thanks a lot for all your help. The last question ,you have mentioned that it will upload sc and cr questions but do you have any functionality for ps and ds questions. I am really interested in solving tough maths questions, which are posted by otherforum members.

Thanks a lot

I submitted 1.3.3 update an hour ago with many improvements including autoscan PS questions functionality. I hope it will be available this week for download after Apple's approval.

Hi Hideyoshi,

Thanks for letting us know!
This bug is fixed in 1.3.3 version that I've submitted today. So, please, wait for a couple of days as Apple is reviewing 1.3.3 update.

If you have any idea/suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Walker
