Calling all 2011 CMU- Tepper Applicants

Hi guys,

To redirect my frustration of waiting, I complied a much-anticipated rolls call.

Does anyone know how to append info to the first page of this thread? I tried to "reply" to the first post of this thread, but it seems to get attached to the last page of the thread.

I know that I am digging my own grave when I cross over my name as dinged on Dec 20th..but hope that the list helps others to gain some informative insight into Tepper admissions trends.

My apologies and please let me know if you find misinformation and missing names in the list. I did not add a name unless there was a specific mention about applying to a specific round.

Almostfamous, I was invited too. And I'm w/ you when my name is crossed over on 20th... I have a really bad feeling about my interview cuz my interviewer wrote back to me after my "thank you" note! That is just odd!

It may not be a bad sign that the interviewer wrote back to you; more dependent on what they said. I think Tepper adcomm really has a personal touch with regard to the admissions process and admission's staff.

its probably just common courteousy to write back...wouldnt you feel worse if they flat out "ignored" your note?

Hey, one question
The Tepper essays state - Please clearly specify which questions you are answering.

Do we need to mention I am answering question No 1 or not necessary.

I always put the essay question in the beginning of my essays. But at least put a number like "Essay 1" or something if they ask to identify them

This is the format I am using...

A. What are your short-term and long-term goals? How will a Tepper MBA help
you to achieve these goals. (Please include any information regarding what steps you
have taken to learn more about the Tepper School.)

My irrational optimism kicked in. Just checked my online application in case the decision was already there, for "some magical reason".

Of course, the application status was still under review, bringing back my rational mind. Feeling silly, instantly

haha i just did the same thing no word on the application. Do people know from previous years whether the e-mail is sent early or late in the day. Good luck to you all and i will definitely not be getting any work done tomorrow.
