thanks bb... i'll take a raincheck on that one... with GMAT Club tests, the iphone app, jeff sackmann's i think I have way too much quant material for now...

it would be nice if kaplan could offer verbal only at approp package pricing... but i guess their q banks are not organized so that they can make it verbal or quant only

Though you will never beat the price of this deal - $0.10 per question.

Thanks bb for making us available this q bank for such a reasonable price. I am doing this one for last few weeks. I believe the quant section is definitely on the easier side and not very impressive. But the verbal section is very challenging and high quality. The mapping for Rc passages is pretty good and explanations for rc and verbal in general is good too.

Thank you for the feedback! I am sorry to hear the quant has been easier. What are you comparing it to? OG 12? MGMAT? GMAT Club tests?

I am comparing it with gmatprep questions and higher level og questions. I think the questions are not bad or non-gmat like as such, but there is not enough versatility in questions. The quiz bank contains indiscriminately high percentage of ratio/proportion, profit loss, word problem type questions of 550 level. Almost no questions of solid geometry, venn diagrams, and higher level inequality. I usually struggle with inequality and co-ordinate geometry very much. Surprisingly the few questions of co-ordinate geometry I got I solved correctly. Good thing for me but I know the questions were very basic. Simple slope calculation type. I had got 48 and 49 on quant section of 2 gmatpreps I gave , so may be I am expecting harder questions. May be this will be good for people who are looking to move from q 35 to q 45.

But the verbal section is simply brilliant. Sc/RC/Cr all are of excellent quality and I am learning a lot from even the questions I get right ! I will strongly recommend this to anyone who is specifically looking at targeted practise for verbal section.

I bought the Kaplan Quiz Bank about threeish weeks ago and have completed about 73% of the questions. I've done most of the medium and hard questions so the remaining 27% consists of easy questions. I must say that I'm pretty satisfied with the Q Banks.

A lot of people are saying that the qbank difficulty level is lower than say Manhattan and GMAT Club test. This is definitely true but I found the quant questions were very similar to actual gmat questions in that they were not hard per se, but elegantly tricky. So over the course of doing these problems I got better at spotting common traps. You may use the MGMAT and GMAT Club tests to improve your quant "strength" but you may want to use the Kaplan quant questions to improve your "agility". However, I do feel that if you're already scoring a 45 and above in quant then the Kaplan quant section may be less helpful but if you're trying to get to 45, then you definitely will. The verbal section, is a different beast all together. The hard questions are hard and tricky but once again, they feel very gmat like. I think anyone at any level will find the verbal questions helpful.

While the questions make for good practice, I wish Kaplan had refined the quant and SC question categories. For instance, while creating a drill/test you can have the option of selecting question types but these categories are too broad in my opinion. Consider the quant categories: Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Number Properties, Other, Properties of Sets, Proportions. The CR and RC categories are all good but I would have liked to see more categories in SC: Comparisons, Modification, Other, Parallelism, Pronoun, Usage, Verbs.

All said and done, the qbank worked for me. Will it be useful to you? That depends on where you are performance wise and what your goals are. Plus the GMAT Club discount is an added incentive to get it; at circa 10 cents a question it's not a bad deal at all.

Hi ishancrazee,

We are still offering the quiz-bank; it was disabled due to a computer error that has since been fixed!

Hi Eli/BB

Just to confirm whether GMATCLUBQB100 or the MARKETPLACE50 is still valid. I tried to use these coupons but system is saying that these are not valid :(

Is there any other way i can purchase at the GMATCLUB discounted price.

Hi BB,

Can you please advise who should practice these questions? For example, will this be recommended to those who are in their 600's but are targeting for 700+?
Moreover, are the hard questions 700+ level question?

Thank you in advance for you advise.

regards,
Jack

I think the quiz banks are designed to help you hone a very specific skill (for example CR inference questions or certain SC or PS questions). Especially helpful if you burned through all of the OG 12 or other question sources.

As to the difficulty, I am probably not a great measure. I felt the quant could have been harder (but of course I am used to gmat club tests  ) though I have made a few mistakes in quant. Verbal seemed to be tough (i made many mistakes there).

If anyone wants to try these and share their thoughts, let me know via PM - i will throw in GMAT Club tests for free ($79 value).

Hi,

I am now using this quiz bank. I find it is really great. I can practice my verbal section everyday; besides, their explanations are really good; I can learn a lot from explanations to know how to do verbal sections.

How to get free Gmat Club tests? I want it, but I am from China, I do not have any credit card to buy. (Kaplan Quiz Bank is bought by my cousin who is in the USA)

Eli/bb - I checked yesterday, the discount codes above, for the Kaplan Quiz Bank, do not seem to be applying any longer. I wonder if the codes are still active, and if not, whether we have an alternative way to get a discount or the window has completely closed? Please provide an update.
