I just read your blog. Curious - what made you decide to also apply for Kellogg?

can anybody that went to DAK for round 1 tell me what the agenda is like? I'm currently waitlisted and would like to hear what goes on. I did read one person's account of the weekend a bunch of pages back, but if anyone has more detail I would appreciate hearing it.

Just saying a quick callout to everyone who made it to DAK this weekend. I think we all had an AMAZING time! Kellogg's a great place. A special shoutout to nerdtastic who elbowed me in the kidneys while limbering up before a very animated game of flip cup.

Was anyone else from this forum there at DAK?

I was also there. I was asking around to see how many other admits were on this forum, surprisingly only came across a few. I had an absolute BLAST this weekend tho!! Great speakers, great atmosphere, great CULTURE.... Kellogg is definitely right for me and I'm estatic about this fall. I feel confident that I will actually KNOW very well over 400 of my classmates before I leave Evanston in 2013.

Couldn't agree more! Which section were you in? GO HILLCLIMBERS!! The last professor that spoke, I think his name was Kramer, absolutely blew my mind - I could have listened to him speak for hours. And I actually know the former student he was talking about (Samir). I can't imagine a more fun place to do an MBA than Kellogg.

Wow! Is anybody out there? I'm waiting on Round 3 decision. From the side comments I got while I was there, I think I should probably go ahead and get ready for next year's applications.

Am waiting too. Should hear something next week. Care to elaborate on the side comments?

Before I even went, I saw a post on a blog that said that round 3 was a long shot to get in. Take that for what it's worth, but I also talked to a couple of students up there that mentioned that competition is tough during the third round because most of the spots are filled. My interviewer questioned my decision to wait until third round. I even heard an admissions officer say that in recent years (although notably not this year) the candidates in rounds 1 & 2 were so strong that there just weren't "many" spots left in round 3. I felt like he was implying that "many" could be replaced with "any". Somebody has to have a chance to get in. Otherwise, they wouldn't do a round 3, but I did get the impression that applying round 3 is a distinct disadvantage.
