yea, hoping it can be anything too - they've released all types of decisions within the past few days - admits, dings, and waitlists... so hopefully, we really just were at the bottom of the pile and can expect anything.... just speculation though.
If their deadline is the 28th, hopefully that means they will actually update on the 28th itself and won't do their overnight status change thing on the 29th.
Nope - still waiting. I'm in India though, so I doubt they'll call me at this time - I'm just heading off to bed. Can't change the decision now, so I might as well get a good night's sleep. Good luck to all those still waiting!
I am thinking of applying for more schools in R3 after a few dings in R2. For kellogg there is still time to make R3 submission.
Are chances for R3 in kellogg vs other rounds reduce as drastically as they for most other schools?

At the Kellogg info session I went to in the fall, the adcom literally said not to bother applying in R3 (after saying that R1 and R2 are pretty equal). Of course, some people must get in, but I think it's pretty telling as to your chances in R3. I think you'd be better off applying in R1 next year.
literally - no response - no deny/admit/waitlist...

jeez, you check your junk mail? there's a lot of that no-response stuff going around, they didn't tell me anything by the 2nd R1 waitlist date either...
There's now at least one more spot available for WLers or R3 applicants--I just declined my Kellogg admit in favor of HBS. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting, and thanks to all the Kellogg students and applicants who helped me out with good information in this thread.
You know, throughout this process, I just have to reflect on one thing: how random it all seems! I got into Kellogg, rejected from Tuck, and my friend got into Tuck, and was rejected from Kellogg. How does this make sense?

Agreed. Did you also notice the Denied by Kellogg/Admitted by Booth and vice versa trend? That combo is all over everyone's stats.

I have noticed that too! I think that if you're numbers in the ballpark, you really may as well apply to where ever you want!
