i got a question. If thai applicant will cancel his/her seat, does adcom will reconsider the replacement from thai pool?

I doubt that. Most schools are keen on all types of diversity, but I doubt that they have quotas that are that rigid. I'm sure if a large number of Thai admits decided not to come to Kellogg, then they'd probably be more likely to look at the Thai students on the WL a little closer.

R3 applicant here

Ding for me as well.

Kellogg + last round + international applicant erased any chances I had I guess.

Moving on to next year's apps...

R3 International Applicant. Got waitlisted yesterday. Good undergraduate degree from ranking international school, strong masters degree from top school in the U.K., 5 years experience post undergraduate, 3 of which were as an entrepreneur.

Strong verbal but **** quant GMAT as I've never sat a standardized test before and didn't really study for it. Should I cram in another GMAT and focus just on quant?

Any and all suggestions welcome!

For Round 2 wait listed applicants, we anticipate making admit and deny decisions off the waitlist April 19 and May 11. Round 2 wait listed applicants who do not receive a decision by May 11 will be notified and given the option to either remove themselves from our waitlist or continue to remain on the waitlist.

This mean for all of us that still waiting have to wait for another month???

@lbiggs - i'm hoping for you man! looking at your blog, i can totally relate to your MBA woes ...i applied last year and got waitlisted at Fuqua, Kellogg, and Michigan ...i had to leave my job so since I wasn't guaranteed an MBA spot, I got a new job ...two months in (May 2010) I got off the waitlist at Fuqua and Michigan but then opted to stay with the job because I had just started it and a friend helped me get it so I didn't want to burn any bridges ....

But fast-forward a few months, I hated the job and so I decided that I should apply again and so I did ...got wait-listed at Kellogg and Michigan AGAIN! And then got let-go from the job ...so it was a very tough last few months because I had no job and still was in MBA pergatory ...finally a few weeks ago I got off the wait-list again at Michigan and so now I'm thrilled ...Kellogg was my dream school but I'm happy because it could be worse! I need to remind myself of that everyday!

Hang in there! It does always work out!

Can someone please tell me when the FT program actually starts in the Fall? Not necessarily when courses begin, but when it's best to be on campus for orientation, social events, exemption exams, etc. When should I be in Chicago?

Note: I'm applying this Fall for the class of 2014, so this is just a forward-looking question. I have found it quite difficult to locate academic calendars on the web.

Thanks!
