Congratulations on the interview. So if you get a merit scholarship it is anywhere from $15,000 to full (~$90,000) tuition and the scholarship only applies to tuition. For any additional scholarship you will need to apply separately. I personally received close to full tuition and my stats are not that much higher than their average, so they are very generous. Good Luck!

Congratulation YalF! Will appreciate some interview advice from you. Thank you in advance!

ymMBA2014 hopefully I am not too late for advice. So I had an on campus interview, the interviewer was very stern I had a hard time reading if he liked my answers or not, so don't sweat about his/her reactions. The questions were simple, "Why MBA?, why now?, why GWU?" best advice I can give you is know the program and how internationally focused it is. Read about CAP, concentrations and the student organizations that you would like to be a part of. The only out of the left field question I got was "What question did you think I was going to ask you but I didn't and please answer that question." Have an answer for that.

Hi Guys,

I had applied in R2 and finished my interview on the 13th of Jan.

My interviewer said that the results would by out on the 28th of February. Does anybody know if the results can be expected any sooner? Anyone from R1 here to comment? Are the results given out exactly on the said date only or maybe a few days earlier.

Regards,
Sridhar

I applied/was accepted for R1. I interview in October and the deadline for a response was Dec 15. On Dec 14 I got the call. So no much earlier. I think looking back here at the board it was the same for all applicants. I believe the process at GW is after ALL interviews are completed then the committee meets on the applicants to vote. This is done all in one week. I was at admitted students day on Monday and the head of admissions was explaining that they were finishing up R2 interviews this week and that next week was committee week for getting the R2 deadlines out by the end of Feb.

Thank you very much for your reply. The wait is going to be terrible.. :(

At the admitted students day, did the head of admissions tell you anything about scholarships for R2 applicants. Will it be as generous as it was for R1 applicants or.... is there no chance for scholarships...especially to international students.?

They didn't talk about scholarships at all. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. They scholarships are allocated equally across rounds it seems, and anyone from R1 who got a scholarship but doesn't accept their offer, their scholarship can then be used on a R2 applicant. So I'd say chances can still be pretty high. That's why they don't send decisions out early. The R1 applicants have until Feb 19 to decide, and so after that they can see what extra funds are available and then allocate those accordingly.

Hi Marialestate, congratulations to your admission!!! Are you a R2 or R1 applicant? Seems you got your admission before the notification deadline. Can you tell us whether you got the result through email or from the online application portal, please?
