Good luck to all the R2 guys waiting to hear from LBS.

I too would certainly hope for early results but the R1 admits got to know only on the last day especially after 17 GMT i believe.

So... basically, do the previous posts mean that they will not release all the acceptance/ding notice all together on the 27th?
I had reached a sort of peaceful state of mind as I was sure about that!!!

But waiting for answers from Wharton, LBS, and Sloan in 7 days is stressful even for someone in the military!!!! ;)

Good luck to you as well!

This is what the masterclass invite said- have a field day trying to read between the lines ;)

Dear

I am writing on behalf of your regional manager

We are delighted to invite you to our exclusive Faculty Master Class to experience some of the London Business School classroom debate and to see what London Business School has to offer.

This invitation only even will take place on Tuesday 25 March at our London campus and will be led by Ralph Koijen, Professor of Finance. Professor Koijen will present on “Is the Insurance Sector at Risk?”

Ralph received his PhD and MA from Tilburg University. Before joining LBS, he was a visiting assistant professor of finance at NYU Stern and an assistant and associate professor of finance at Chicago Booth. Ralph's research has been published in leading journals, such as the Journal of finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the American Economic Review. He has also given numerous seminars worldwide. His areas of expertise include investments, insurance markets, and financial econometrics. Professor Koijen is also a Research Fellow of the Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement.

This event is the perfect occasion for you to meet admissions staff, current students, and alumni and to see one of our world-renowned faculty in action. In addition, the networking reception after the lecture will give you the chance to meet some of your potential future London Business School classmates who will be amongst the guests invited.

Event schedule

18.45 – 19.00: Registration

19.00 – 20.00: Faculty lecture and Q&A

20.00 – 21.00: Networking Drinks Reception

To confirm your place please RSVP by Monday 24 March by completing this form.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Is anyone going for the event?

FROM LBS Admissions Blog: Insights for Interviewing
If you are planning to apply for the Masters in Management you will notice that an interview is required for anyone who may eventually be accepted to the programme. Why do we interview? It is important that we have a good understanding of who we would like to see enter the MiM classroom; we are […]

Hi..

I have a query. I have a software engineer friend who has almost 8 years of experience in the banking domain. He has written GMAT a number of times. His scores in chronological order are 700, 720, 680, 740, 570 and 660. He got 740 in late 2011. He took GMAT again in Nov 2013 because he believed the score of 740 was too old to apply to any college (3 years old). Unfortunately he did not score well and got only 570. He tried again in Jan this year and got 620. I personally believe that the last two scores do not reflect his capability truly. He is very good at English and in fact has received more that 25 kudos within a month of joining GMAT club and has been appreciated by verbal forum moderators including instructors.
My questions are:
1. Should he apply to LBS with 740? In that case, GMAC would send 740 and latest two scores to LBS.
2. What is the probability that he would get an interview call?
3. How difficult is it for foreign students to get through in round 4 of LBS admissions?

Thanks in advance!

Any pointers anyone?? Need guidance.
