I do think there is some relation btwn invite timing and acceptance rate, albeit not a totally strong one.
It would be regarding the 'fit' and the 'buckets' as you guys put it.
Now, if we're to continue this delightfully meaningless series of speculations about invites...
Roomoo22Stanford admitted ~6.8% of its 7108 applicants last year, so that's ~480 acceptances.
(That would mean an ~85% matriculation rate, does that make sense? I feel it would be closer to 90% but....)
If we assume the same ratio for this year, GSB adcom said they'd send out ~1000 invites, which means
it's a 50/50 coin toss if you get an invite and ~14% of applicants will get the invites.
If there are 350 of us on GMAT club applying to GSB, ~50 should get invites.
Are most of us applying R2??
