Im 26yrs old,will be 28@M
Lebanese-Mexican (US Citizen)
WE:1.5 yr boutique Kuwaiti PEG(analyst "finance")-1 yr trading (NYC)(jr.)-1yr operations@fidelityNYC(middle office). Now doing 2 internships@ a boutique PEG, but,"Feeder into wharton", other one @ a boutique IBfirm, Associate level both.(together 40hrs/week)
-Working on deals, on the research side&presentation, and ramping up on valuation.
UG: regional unknown -finance major 3.1 overall GPA/3.6 Major ....Major uptrend in last yr of UG 2.7 to 3.1
MA in econ @ private midwestern college- known but not highy ranked 3.3GPA
Was a boyscout from 1999-2007
I have done ALOT of Community service in those years-"verifiable
I play intramural soccer
Served 1 yr as president of Arab-American SA @ school

I always worked during school
My Recs will be My direct current bosses: 2 Managing Principals and a VP- 1MIT MBA"he also taught a few yrs ago @stern as a visiting prof, 2 WhartonMBAs, and I can get academic ref's if needed

Now taking classes @NYU to boost low GPA and establish a prospective MPA admission profile- international affairs/public sector concentration classes
3.7-3.8GPA(3 classes)
A Valuation class @ stern (MBA level) A-
Have a research intensive trip with NYU to the UN - Geneva for this summer(3 weeks)

GMAT..Didn't take yet, scoring 690-710 in practice but aiming for a 720

I really want to get into a dual MBA/MPA program ..(NYUSTERN/WAGNER) (Dartmouth/kennedy) ..(Georgetownmba/mpa)..(JHU MBA/mpa)..(Wharton/kennedy)..(columbiaMBA/SIPA)
Safety:

Vanderbilt

My Short term goal is to work in "Consulting" or a PE firm. " Im not picky as to which ones"
My long term goal is to establish a specialized political interest group that works mainly with the private sector

I am really lost to where I would be a better fit, although I really like my experience at NYU, and would like to attend Stern/Wagner for MBA/MPA

You are making the right moves to mitigate thelow GPA. You should also let them know you worked during college. A high GMAT will be important. NYU Stern/Wagner may be a stretch, but you have a competitive profile for Georgetown and JHU. Columbia and Dartmouth/Kennedy are also stretch programs.
