I am an international applicant and they offered Skype to me (I did ask) - but I opted to interview on campus instead.

Hi Daniel,

All schools perform a background check prior to enrollment as far as I know. Typically they just confirm that you have worked where you say you've worked, that your academic records are correct (you graduated from where you say you did), and they might check in with your recommenders to confirm that they did in fact write your recommendations. It is very rare for acceptances to be taken away because of the background check, you would have to have blatantly lied on your application about something. There is a thread discussing the Kroll background check services that describes in more detail what exactly they do when performing the background check.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got the acceptance email about an hour ago (17:30 Paris time). I interviewed on 3/8.
I'm over the moon! :-D

Got a mail mentioning application status has changed...pls check....blah blah. The application status check site has a new button "View Status Letter" which mentions the admission

You'll hear back within 2-3 weeks from your interview. I wouldn't try to read into it beyond that.

Interviewed on 18th Mar at Delhi. Got a mail at 2:11 am India Time today. Checked it about 1.5 hrs back when i got up.
