Yes... Schools are not going to give any weightage to that 2.9...
I had my scores converted by WES... It costs about $5.. It's not a hard and set conversion but it is good for giving you an idea....
My percentage was 70 from Anna University....

Since most schools do not ask you to convert your grades, I do not know how they view WES's evaluation... However at least one top 50 school - Rice Jones - asks you to convert your scores through WES.. So there must be some level of credibility to it..
