As an Indian applicant, if I don't hear from Wharton today, I am assuming a ding. the interviews in Mumbai are between Nov 6-8 , placing today as the maximum 1 week deadline I am working with.
I anticipate many invites will go out today. The invites on Monday would have been pre fed in the system. Monday/Tuesday they were closed. They would have reviewed more applications yesterday and today and tomorrow there should be a decent number of invites going out.
Although this is logical, sometimes Wharton's invite process defies logic. I think you are assuming that if Wharton is going to interview you they would only plan to do so in Mumbai. That's not the case. Last year there were a good number of international applicants who received invites AFTER the hub location spots had filled. A lot of internationals interviewed on campus.
I know you're thinking that that doesn't make any sense because it's even more difficult to get to the US than it is to a city within your country, but it is what it is. There's really no way to gauge it by the dates they will be in your country. My guess is that due to the volume of applicants they just can't get through all of the applications in enough time to match all of the invitees to the most convenient location to be interviewed. People who are reviewed later often have to get in where they fit in.
All of this to say don't count yourself out.
