I applied in R1. I just logged in and my status was changed to "Complete - Round 2". There was a link below the Recommendation Providers that said my decision was available. I clicked on the link and a blank page came up with the Print and Close buttons. Nothing else. Thinking it was a browser issue, I logged out, closed all the windows, and logged back in. This time, my status reverted back to "Complete - Round 1" and the link was gone. I have no clue what to make of it, but I don't think it's a good sign. Has this happened to anyone else?

You should check if your recommenders submitted on time. I have seen cases where the rounds got pushed out if the recommender or some other information is not submitted on time. It is not normally held against you.

I would take it as ding as i don't think that they will expect us to appear for interview on 6-8 without even inviting us by 1 and i don't believe that they would expect us to fly outside the country.
The worst thing that they do not give any feedback so that you can improve next time. It's so unfair that you don't even get to know the reason for your rejection.

Don't jump into conclusions too fast.
We all don't have a clue on the evaluation process, the invitations and all the rest. It might be that they will open up more dates on relevant cities for you, or maybe they will call you on the last second to interview. Don't waste your time and energy on making hypotheses - it will only make you feel worse.

Sit and wait, check your inbox three times a day, read a good book or continue writing that other application for another school you want.
By Nov. 9th we will all have answers, and we'' be able to go on with our lives, for better or worse :-)

Did all the invites get an invitation to informal reception as well. Or is it only international candidates? And did you guys receive an email for this informal reception?

I heard that several Chinese applicants have received invites at the first wave on Oct 23rd. But seemingly they are all not living in Shanghai where the hubs are going to take place. So I am just wondering if it is because I am a resident of Shanghai, so I probably have to wait till next week to receive my invite (if there is one), for the sake of fairness.

Can someone from NY and others who are not in NY but arranged to interview in NY share with me whether there is such invite sequence in your cases?

Honestly none of us here, barring any lurking adcom members, know how invites go out. All we can do is wait until we receive a decision between now and Nov 9. The more you try to find a pattern, the more unnecessary stress you'll cause yourself.

we have been very underrepresented in the first 20 pages of discussions... really don't know where everyone else is at in their process... but nice to hear that i'm not the only one still waiting...

Would it be possible for someone with an interview invite to check the number of vacant spots from Nov. 6-8 in Mumbai..someone mentioned that Delhi is full..assuming that no one with invites is yet to select a date (specific to India given the dates), we'll get an idea of the number of invites that might go out in the following week..thanks!
