Hi Sonal

I am a prospective student from India. I have a Gmat score of 620 (Q45 V 30) with 4+ years of work experience in two fields (Finance - Quant algo trading and Air Conditioning). Is my Gmat score good enough.? Your feedback would be very useful.

Not really sure, why no one writes here. I have been admitted to BYU for fall 2014. If any of you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Puneethrao, you can find a median GMAT score for BYU and most other schools in one of the ratings that are easy to find via google.

I'm not sure why there isn't any activity on this forum either. I interviewed on Tuesday the 25th and was offered a spot two days later on Thursday the 27th.
The same goes for me, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me directly or post them here on the forum.

I have a question of my own. Is anyone coming from the Northeast and planning to drive cross-country? I am considering renting a U-Haul/Budget/Penske from New York City to Provo.

No probs buddy, I haven't decided yet tbh. BYU is a good option but I pay the full non LDS fee and I have a few other full scholarship options. Still have a few weeks before I decide. What would you suggest me to do?

I'm assuming your other options are the ones listed in your profile:

Tippie
Olin
Simon
Cox
Mason

BYU at the non LDS tuition price is still a great value. The cost of living in Provo is also extremely low.
Dollars aside, it really depends on what your goals are. Choosing the program that helps you achieve them is your best bet. The finance program is very well respected.
I chose BYU because it offers great professors, a team learning environment and access to a lot of different companies that recruit on campus.

Feel free to PM me with any questions. Best of luck!

I had my interview today with Dr Snow. Nice guy, I felt like we had a great conversation and really like my chances of getting into the program. I HATE the waiting game!! I understand that most people who interview get into the program unless the interview goes horribly. Looking at the previous years this appears to be true but it looks as if somebody who interviewed this year got denied, either way I was happy to get my app submitted and get my interview done before the final deadline.

I asked Dr. Snow when I should be hearing back about my interview and he said within a week, two at the latest, but I have read about people getting notice 2 days after they interview. I am just a worrier so I am hoping that I just get notice soon. I had an interview with Texas A&M as well and am hoping for the best with them as well.

Ben,

I think it all depends. From what I understand, it all comes down to whether BYU can "sell" you afterwards or not. I think that the only way you can get in without the interview is if you know a lot of professors in the program, and they know you well. IMO 99% of time people get interviews. And the waiting time depends on a lot of factors, how many people are in front of you, your test scores, your essays, how well you fit the program.
