I have applied to the BYU MBA program. I submitted my application on 4/14, I have heard about some people hearing back really quickly and other people taking a long time to hear back from BYU. Just wondering if anybody on here can give any insight on what this means?
I have a 3.34 GPA and got a 660 on the gmat and I have about 60 months of work experience, just hoping that is good enough to get in I am just a worrier. I heard somebody mention that they got in without an interview, is this possible?(don't think I believe it) Either way I hope I hear back soon from them, I am applying at a couple different programs and hope to get in to BYU first because of the great support for families, I have a wife and will have 2 children (wife is due in June and I have a 15 month old son).
Anyway I have a question for those already accepted, how hard are the competency exams for accounting and statistics? Just wondering because if I take a while to get in and only have a month or couple weeks to study for the exams, is this possible? I minored in stats but that was a while ago and would need some good refreshing.
Please let me know.
Thanks
B
The competancy exams are not too bad. If you pass the pre-test, you do not need to do the whole class which is also nice. If you minored in statistics you should not have any problems. It took awhile to do the statistics course but they give you tools to do all of the problems. It's just a matter of remembering what to plug into which tool. I passed the pre-test on the accounting so I do not know what the whole course is like.
