Hey guys, just wanted to wish everyone good luck for tomorrow. Personally I'm trying to not get my hopes up AT ALL but hey, you never know I guess. And yes I would rather be rewaitlisted then completely out of the game so even a waitlist is hoping too much for me :-P

Best of luck to you and everyone else tomorrow! I'm in the same boat - just wanna stay alive. It's gonna be a long day...

After I was placed on the waitlist I retook the GMAT, submitted a short essay, sent an additional letter of recommendation and recorded the video. If that doesn't work out, at least I can say I did my best!

All the best for tomorrow.

I'm soooo nervous! Even though chances might be smaller on the waitlist, I still went all out on my video, new rec, and new essay. Here's hoping my number one choice for bschool gives me the opportunity of a lifetime. What will make this even sweeter is that I just got dinged from 5 schools, and Booth is my last shot.

I submitted a video, sent two additional recommendation letters and some support letters from some Booth graduates, and visited the school.

If that doesnt work, at least I did my best, and will be happy to join Ross.

Good luck to everyone!

I did similar - submitted an update letter, a new resume, a letter of rec and current student letter of rec and the video. Fingers crossed for all of us. :)

Guys I was waitlisted all summer last year (2013) till August 29 and did not get in. I never gave up and kept grinding hard and reapplied R2 this year. I got the call this morning and heard that I have been accepted. Been chasing this goal for the past two years. Bittersweet tears.

All I can say is NEVER give up and always stay hungry until the end. Looking forward to see all of you guys this Fall or next one.

All the best.

Congrats! I was on that summer WL with you last year. I had a bit better luck (admitted in late July), but looks like I'll be seeing you in the fall.

On this waitlist. Trying to develop my strategy.

Any thoughts on if it would be helpful to visit campus again? I was there for interview and did some of the associated activities?

Also, for those who submitted additional recommendations, how did you do this? Did you have them send to you and you upload them using the portal? Or have them send the recommendations directly (via mail) to Booth?

I'm in the same position as you. I'm not at all sure about how to approach the waitlist.

I also have the same question as you about the additional recommendations; I'm sure I can get quite a few but don't know the protocol for how to offer them.

Are any of you who plan to send a video thinking about different approaches to it? The most obvious one (applicant talking to the camera) seems rather boring. I'm thinking something professional, creative, and polished-- like our PowerPoints, but in motion. Some music, some slides with additional data, very clean/simple production and transitions.

What do you folks think?

I did not just talk into the video. I created an animation. One thing I know for sure, they love creativity, and talking straight into a video will certainly not help. You need to make yourself stand out.

how did you guys send extra recommendation letters? on portal I see nowhere to do that.
also, I'm R1 applicant but is WL again in R2. Does booth ding anyone from WL in R2? Or the least you get is continue in WL?
