Congratulations!!! Awesome job on getting admits.
Question for you - would you take Tepper or Anderson without $$ over any of these?
My thoughts is that for Tech, Foster is going to be much stronger just because you are there. Everyone is in tech, all alums are right there and it is easy to connect with people to network and recruit. All tech companies have offices in Seattle including large HQ's for Amazon and MSFT, as well as Google and Meta. I don't think Foster needs to do any selling. However, Seattle will be meaningfully more expensive to live in than North Carolina. You are looking at a meaningful bump in rent and cost of living.
For MBB consulting, you would have similar-ish chances out of Foster as you would out of UNC with a big advantage that UNC will have a lot more resources to prep you for it, more people focusing on it, helping you interview prep, etc. There is no guarantee you will get in since consulting is quite competitive.
All schools usually have 2 areas of focus such as Finance and Consulting or Consulting and Tech, etc. Usually consulting is up there. I don't know if Foster is all tech consulting - I can't really say as I did not get into the weeds for either so if you know, that's great but I would not assume. UNC is Finance and Consulting. Finance is #1 and Tech is distant third unfrotunately.
P.S. In terms of homeless people. UW is not in downtown so I don't think you would be exposed to it per se... but just thinking about it - are you going to avoid every large US city when you look for a job? There is a growing homeless population in every large downtown unfortunately.
