I think scores you need to send now. The information is in their application instructions I believe.

Quote:
Please note that uploading digitized/scanned copies of your transcripts is recommended to expedite the processing of your application, but it is NOT required. We cannot extend an offer of admission to you unless we have official copies of your transcripts. Therefore, we recommend that you submit official copies of your transcripts as soon as possible.

Please send official copies to:

I'd like to go on vacation internationally for 2 weeks before the round 2 decision deadline. What is the general consensus on takoing a vacation during this time? If I were to receive an invite, would the ad com work around a planned event such as a vacation? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

hi trojan,

usually the interview invites should come out by 2 weeks before decision, but based on R1 status so far, it could come out 1 week before. The adcom would probably reschedule it for you if you're on vacation, but that may delay your decision (if you don't get the interview) in, right?

They are probably evaluating how many seats they can give out in R1 while looking at R2 apps. Give it a few more days, they should invite more people, I hope.

I really hope so. I applied only to Berkeley and UCLA in R1 and all I have heard from them is dead silence.

I'm a R1 applicant, and I haven't heard from them either. I've pretty much given up on them. I think my UCLA application was the weakest.

less than a week to go but still no invites. You guys think should I call them to ask about my status? It may seem stupid but at least I dont have to desperately wait any longer.

Re: Calling UCLA Fall 2008 Applicants [#permalink]
Ok so I have some news for you guys.

1st off, I visited the school and wow, Its absolutely amazing! The students, teachers, facilities, etc were all outstanding.
I sat in an Operations Management class and althouh it was the 1st day back, it was thoroughly engaging. The only negative would be the admissions office. My student escort for the class never showed, so I had to introduce myself to the professor. The office itself also just didn't seem very helpful and looked overly busy.

Ok now for the bad news. In the info session, I was told by the associate director that round 2 submissions were the largest round 2 in history, with over 1,700 applicants. Thats means us round 2 guys are in for a dog fight. I also wonder if this impacts the round 1 folks since admissions know they have such a large pool to pick from in round 2.
