I think word got out that most applicants only have a fighting chance if they apply to Round 2. Every info session I went to (and I went to quite a few), the admissions officers all emphasized the need to apply early (in Round 1 or Round 2). There were always a few things that were emphasized (i.e. GMAT is but one factor in the application...but you should make note of our school's median / mean--meaning if you're not close to a 700, take the test again).
Each admissions person / current student who lead the presentation put heavy emphasis on applying no later than Round 2 and I think everyone got the hint.
Grrrrrreat. I think I'm going to re-take the gmat to get my score at a more competitive level.
So far, Kryzak and Red_s4 got in and they had stellar scores (>750). So, looks like that's all I need!

yeah, I did notice that R2 was emphasized even at an early infosession (october). I'm sure glad I got in before the rush in this case then!!!
