It's less than a month before the first day of classes. And so, the 13 of us who remain on the WL, plus those who either refuse to take part in the discussions or have not found this forum, are getting very close to getting some sort of closure.

I've been tracking the trend of the AdCom's activity, and I have noticed that each of the last three "waves" had a three week grace period in between. I am not saying that there won't be any movement this week. However, based on how they have operated in the last 10 weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make another call until the week of July 11th.

Week of May 9th - Round Three Results (including EA/R1/R2 WL Acceptances)
Week of May 30th - First Wave of Acceptances/Rejections (including R3 WLers)
Week of June 20th - Second Wave of Acceptances/Rejections (including R3 WLers)

For everyone who is waiting on Duke, but accepted elsewhere, what are you all doing regarding housing? I've been putting off looking for housing at the other school I've been accepted to. However, it's less than 1 month until orientation/classes start so I think I have to sign a lease and then break it if I get into Duke. Thoughts?

I am here on behalf of my husband Of all the schools he has been accepted to, we h put a deposit down on Carnegie Mellon in June (we figured if Duke came through we would just lose our deposit). We were still holding out for Duke, but now it is getting close to the wire. We have to be at CMU by end of July, classes start 8/1. We drove up to CMU from Baltimore this past weekend to start looking at apartments, found one we love and verbally committed. We had the lease sent over last night and I am trying to stall on getting it back over.... I am thinking we have until the end of the week to get our lease back and once that happens I think we are giving up on Duke. Can't lose a school deposit, security deposit and break a lease already.

So, we will hold on until this week and then probably will part ways with Duke..... but, Duke and CMU are so close rank wise it was more about location for us too. Though, my husband was planning on doing the Health Sector Management focus.

Hi all, haven't been on here for awhile, but wanted to share that on Duke's Class of 2013 Facebook page, there have been 3 people who've announced that they were accepted off the waitlist: May 23, June 7, and June 23.

Thanks for that update. In case any of us find out in the next couple of weeks that we've been accepted, have you accepted students had to do any summer work before classes start, such as a math class, etc.?

I applied in round 2. I'm in financial services now and I'm planning on getting involved in entrepreneurship, specifically in CleanTech.

Prior to the start of classes in August, students are given access to a business computer applications course (some basic excel and power point work) that is due by the end of August. Students are given access because it is a pretty time consuming but self-paced class. Other than that, there are no formal assignments for you to prepare that I can recall. Happy to answer any other questions you may have about the program, etc..
