Wow. No calls this past week, huh? Bummer.
At least three people posted that they were accepted off of the waitlist this time (this past week) last year. I was also informed by a couple of incoming second years that a number of their classmates received calls within the week prior to orientation. I am still managing my expectations, but based on the aforementioned information, I am still hopeful that some of us will be receiving calls between now and August 1st. And then on the week of August 1st, I hope that some of those still on the list will also be called upon to take a seat in the Class of 2013.
unknownvirus - Just curious... Aren't you an international applicant? Will there still be time for you to get everything done as far as the visa processing is concerned?

I have an admit from another school and I got my student visa. Since I haven't yet matriculated and have a valid F1 visa, I assume in case of duke admit, I just need to request for a SEVIS transfer fee.
Anyone has any idea on this? Thanks.

I looked into this a while ago...if I recall correctly, it is a relatively simple process (in immigration terms) in which one school would have to "transfer" the SEVIS info to the other school. I believe the whole process takes 2 - 3 days at most. You could do this even after matriculation at one school but at that point the concern would be how much of the tuition you paid would be refunded.
