Hi atulmonga,

This sounds like more of an Admissions question, so you might want to post to the Experts in that Forum:

ask-admission-consultants-124/

Getting wait-listed is not necessarily a bad thing (and it's certainly better than getting rejected outright). You might also have to wait for several more months to hear definitive word. However, there might be some things that you can do to strengthen your application in the interim (e.g. retake the GMAT and score higher, if you've received any promotions or leadership work since you applied...you could update your work experience).

Were there any parts of your application that you thought could be stronger?

Hi sg2015,

Although you did not mention it in your post, did you apply to INSEAD? And if so, when did you apply?

The 'tricky' thing about wait-lists is that Business Schools always keep some 'spots' open in the event that some fantastic applicants show up in the later Rounds. If you have a good application, but not a great one, then you might have to wait some time to actually receive word about whether you've been accepted or not. This does afford you the opportunity to potentially improve the overall strength of your application while you wait (e.g.. by retaking the GMAT and scoring higher and making some note-worthy improvement to another part of your application).

Hey guys,

Have you heard any movement on R1 and R2 INSEAD 16D waitlists to date?

Would highly appreciate if you could share your experience.

Thank you.

Yes, I think being in the waitlist is positive. If the chances of being selected were nil, I think the Adcom would not have waitlisted us.

Do you mind to share your background as well?

I've been waitlisted too. Applied in r3.

Till when do we wait?

Does anyone know if we can go ahead and apply for R1 of the next intake admissions?

Good luck everyone!
