I had my interview earlier today. The admissions office gave me a t-shirt and a folder containing some information on my post MBA career path and clubs I mentioned in my application. Like the folder, the interview was tailored to my application materials. I won't get into specific questions (you can use ClearAdmitWiki), but I would tell you to review your essays and know your story well. Go over the questions you have already asked yourself 100 times - why MBA, why Stern, what clubs do you want to participate in, how will you reach your career goals, etc. Also, know your professional/personal strengths and what you will bring to Stern.

Overall, the experience was very pleasant. For those of you that haven't visited Stern yet, the admissions staff is very nice and welcoming. The interview was 1-on-1 for about 35-40 minutes. I had a chance to ask some questions at the end, so prepare a couple. If anyone wants more info, PM me.

I second what CPA said. My experience was very plesant as well. All admission office staff are very friendly. You pretty much need to know the Why's and prepare for a few questions. Mine was about 30-35min long. However, I had a 2 on 1 (which was kind of unexpected). One of the admission officers was supposed to be in training and didn't ask anything. There were no pressure or tricky questions.

According to my interviewer, the interviews started sometimes last week. Looking at the available time slots, there are plenty of empty slots. We are supposed to hear back no longer than 3 weeks.

I got an update:

Thank you for applying to NYU Stern. We have received your application, and it is currently under review by the Admissions Committee. Although there are items missing from your application, it is currently before the Committee and is being evaluated. Please submit any missing items as soon as possible.

I guess they haven't matched my essay 3 with the application... has anyone received this message???
