Question any Round 2 applicants located in India whose application has changed from Submitted to Under Review?

No such luck as yet.

Although someone just mentioned that applications are processed on a rolling basis, I wonder if there is a geographical pattern to it. In that case, applications from each country are grouped together and evaluated.
Can anybody comment on whether something like that happens at Cornell?

Best

Hey, I remember reading something about geographical allotment of Johnson Applications in Poets & Quants.

The article: https://poetsandquants.com/2012/11/15/th ... anagement/
Summary: Quick interview of Christine Sneva (director of admissions-Johnson's) regarding the Admission Process.

At the bottom of page 3, She responds to a question posed by John A. Byrne:

"So what happens to an application once you get it?

Our first step is to say thank you and then it goes to queues based on regions covered by our staff. Anne Richards gets Latin America and most of Asia. I with Eddie take on North America which is the biggest chunk of our applicant pool. Charli is taking Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. And we have three or four readers who swing in to back up the big markets. India and China need backups, and so does the U.S."-Christine Sneva.

So I'm guessing Charli is pretty backed up by the multitude of applicants from her assigned region, hence the delay (I think).

Pretty interesting read nonetheless. Hope that answers your query.

Regards,

Well!
In that case, it would seem that everyone from India could expect to hear from the college at about the same time..

I disagree.
From round 1, it seemed largely random. While they may review geographically, it doesn't appear that they communicate the results geographically.

Pretty stunned by the lack of (reported) movement for R2 on here, seeing as how decisions are 3 weeks away.

Yeah, I would be very anxious if I haven't regularly visited this board. It seems that most of the people still haven't got any response from Cornell even the deadline is less than 3 weeks away.

So given the three-week window, is the round 2 decision date a firm deadline- will we hear by then?

I thought I was resigned to my fate, but it looks like admissions is lagging for a lot of applicants. GL all.

The deadline is not a contract between the applicant and the school. The school could change it if they want. If they did, I wonder if it would dramatically hurt their yield because of school image problems... Long-term, I doubt there would be any repercussions from moving the deadline as we all will probably forget in a year or so...

I bet they move the deadline and go back to the four round application process next year...

Just got an interview invite! I'm in California. It strongly encourages applicants to interview on campus, and the only other option is Skype.

My status changed to under review yesterday. My recommenders were late so that is probably one reason for the late change in status.

I also got an invite for the 1 year program. All the best to everyone else that is waiting. Time to start preparing answers to some of the tricky interview questions now.

Thank you mbamyway.
Does anyone suggest mock interview with paid consultant?
I am going to chat with my friend who is a Johnson Alumina graduated last year seeking additional insights.
