Guys! Are you really serious? What is so difficult comparing a top notch US incumbent school with classical MBA to a European one, even with good ranking. How can you take location into consideration, its not a real estate that you buy. Its just 2 years of your life, after which you move wherever you want. And this so called "international" feature is just a PR trick used by European schools to be competitive.
This is not the case. Location is very important, as is fit. Look at the make up of incoming classes at top schools, both European and US. Students at LBS and INSEAD are more internationally diverse - the stats don't lie.
Not arguing for or against either side of the pond here. It just irks me when I read comments like this that are untrue and, what's more, have the potential to influence this very important decision of admits...
Ramram, Tcsing et al, you got this far, have offers from great schools, I am sure whatever decision you make will be the right one! Best of luck..
Don't tell me you are working with adcoms, guyz))
I'm not saying that the stats lie/this is not true. I'm just saying that this feature is absolutely useless. BTW I've never seen an HBS/Columbia/Tuck/Stanford/etc graduate with a mediocre job, but I've seen plenty of INSEAD/LBS/IMD/IE sitting with the same salaries at best. IMHO MBA is a brand. Like with investment banks. If you had equal offers from Goldman Sachs and UBS which one would you choose? Of courcse it is an important decision,so don't let the person follow the wrong way, just because you have recieved an offer from one school. Besides,I'm not telling that the school is not good, but with hindsight, location is not a factor that counts.
