Denied without interview.. Bah! I submitted my last application 2 days back, and was hoping to take it easy this weekend.. but first result is a denial already..

So it's been about 7 days since I interviewed and my interviewer hasn't submitted....should I be worried???

I'm in the same boat. It's been a week for me, and no words of feedback submission or response to my thank-you e-mail for that matter.

Tough to say. Overall, I thought the interview went well. However, looking back, I don't think I convinced my interviewer that I truly needed to be at Columbia and in NYC to attain my goals.

Some people have had good results contacting the admission office at CBS to reach out to the interviewers. I would wait until 2 weeks have passed to do this but they might need that nudge. My interviewer told me that he was supposed to submit within 48 hours of the interview time.

thanks. I wonder if the weight of the review goes down the longer you take... 2 weeks it a long time...

Typically, it has taken applicants 3 - 4 weeks to hear back with an interview invite this year, from what I've seen. I think I've seen a couple of people who got the interview invite super quick, like within a week or two.

I wouldn't be surprised if it took longer for you, obviously because a lot of people would have applied right before the fellowship deadline.

I'm sorry to see another ding with interview.

I know it's not a good time to ask you questions, but how did your interview go? Did you highlight that you really want to go to Columbia as a topic choice? (this seems to be the running theme..)
