Hi all,
Just submitted and have a question about the Application Checklist on the Application Status page. On the list, below my Received (with green checkmark) transcripts, there is still an "Awaiting" (with red x) version of my transcripts. Not sure why this is still showing up. Did anyone have a similar issue? Wanted to check before contacting the office. Don't want this to accidentally delay my submission past the merit deadline...
Thanks and good luck to everyone finishing up.
Sounds weird. This did not happen for me. I would contact the school.

I had the same issue with the "awaiting" transcript status. I contacted Admissions and they said that there was a problem uploading my transcript and asked me to email it again. A couple hours after I emailed my transcripts the status was updated to complete. I got an interview a few weeks after that! :) But I'm still waiting for a final decision... Sometime next week I hope.

Thanks for the info, H0peful. Will contact the office. Best of luck hearing back!

Waitlisted for RD. Does anyone have tips on getting off the waitlist? Does CBS adcom provide feedback on the application? I'm an international applicant btw. Thanks!! :)

So I'm kinda confused about this part of Columbia's app...It gives you a link to the estimated costs of attendance, but do all of those (including room and board, personal expenses, etc.) have to be taken into account in this section? The fields only ask for "Tuition covered," so I'm not sure if I'm just supposed to break down the sources I'll use to pay $58,384 from. That figure is just for the first year, too. Do I double that amount and work out the funding sources?

Thanks in advance to whoever can offer advice!!

I don't think that's an evaluative question. I simply put "$180,000" under "Federal Loans" and I received an interview.

Someone asked about this question at an info session I attended and the admissions person said they included this part more so that applicants would actually understand the total cost before they applied. Don’t completely blow it off, but as kingfalcon said it’s not evaluative or binding so there's no need to really worry about it in terms of your admission.

Know your story, what you want to do with your life and why CBS will help that goal. Mainly though, just relax and be yourself. Most of the interview sessions with alums are not as formal so don't over stress yourself.

Did the call come from an "Unknown" number by any chance? Or an NYC area code? Thanks

Question to people who have submitted your apps:

What did you guys do about the little writeups that is available under job duties and awards etc? There doesn't seem to be any space limitation, but when I review my application print out, many of those text boxes seem to have 1 line. What have you guys done? Trimmed your response? or disregarded the pdf printout?

So ready to submit!!

never mind.. got my own answer.. to other stressed out applicants who don't read everything on the screen:

Additionally, you may find that the proof cuts off some of your responses. The Admissions Committee has access to all fields; however, if you deem an item to be particularly important, you may reiterate it in your optional essay.
