no requested updates from me yet
my inputs that aren't on this thing yet:

1) work for one of the super large banks
2) went to one of the super large Texas schools
3) want to work for a hedge fund/PE once I get out

Ahh, and my Timeline:
Mid November - Applied EMBA
December 15 - Interviewed EMBA
First week of Jan - withdrew EMBA application
Jan 11 - FT application submitted
Jan 23 - FT deadline
long silent break
March 29 - decision deadline
short silent break
Aprl 1 - Waitlisted

No updates since.

Here's the rest of my profile:

- 3.4 GPA (finance, top 15 private undergraduate business school)
- GRE: 319 (83%), V160 (83%), Q159 (77%)
- First generation college grad, Ntl. Hispanic Merit Scholar, served a two-year church volunteer service mission
- One year work experience in professional baseball
- 2.5 years of experience as a mgmt consultant at a top 10 global firm (not the B/B/M, but still well-known), promoted in 18 months (12 months ahead of average)
- International work experience

I didn't receive any additional requests from admissions, but I did receive an confirmation email letting me know they had annotated my file with what was provided.

What a dadgum mess of a situation. I didn't send any updates in because I read they didn't want updates until explicitly requested.

I should have been more clear, I was waitlisted early March and so the email they sent me for April 1st updates was sent about 10 days before the 4/1 deadline.

Not sure about anyone waitlisted after the April 1st deadline unfortunately :(

Can anyone here who had the video interview post the questions he had? Share about what it's like?

Can you stop the recording once you're done? say 10-5 seconds before the time is up? Would seem strange to have to be able to talk 90 seconds sharp...
I don't want to just stay quiet for 5-10 seconds lol

Do you think giving the video interview is a good idea if you have already done an interview and then been waitlisted? I got the wait list email which said the video interview as optional but I am having my doubts on speaking to a camera with a set time frame of 60-80 seconds . Any body can share their thoughts? thanks

Hi there,

I had the same question when I submitted my WL updates, and honestly I think it's probably a good idea regardless. Yes the format is not idea, yes it takes getting used to. But if you know what you want to say and can do so quickly, it probably shows the school you have more interest? That's just my take. I was also WL-ed after the interview, but chose to the video anyways to really hit on WHY mccombs was the place for me.
