Well, I get the feeling I'm headed that direction too. They HAVE to at least have an idea of what's going on with the waitlist... enough to not keep this many people going this late.

brendxn, I got the same email. I'm in a different position than you though and am thrilled to still be under consideration. Good luck!

Thanks for the congratulations! Yes, I've put in a deposit at Jones but the main factor is that I was also offered a really large scholarship.

I hope you join us at McCombs!! What do you want to do after school? Are you a Texas resident (would you at least get in state tuition at UT?)

Thanks kasonhills. I am a Texas resident so I've got that going for me but tuition would be significantly more at UT. The financial factors aside, I want to go into the energy field post MBA so both McCombs and Jones would position me well for that option.

I still haven't heard anything since I was waitlisted back in April. Not only that, I had to alert them that I hadn't received an update to begin with.

I applied in January. This is crazy.

I had a quick phone call with an adcom member last week. She asked if I had any additional updates to tell them about and what my interest level is in attending Texas. It was only a 3-4 minute conversation. She said they would let me know with a final decision this week.

Yeah not really looking into it too much.. just noticed that it changed this afternoon. After this long of a wait it's nice to see even the most insignificant of changes. But yes that's where I'm looking.
