Has anyone received any waitlist updates after the request for the video interview and additional information? Wondering if they will be sending out updates soon, or just make all of the decisions at once.

nothing yet. I wouldn't expect much of anything until late next week at the earliest. From what I understand, the waitlist process can drag on until basically the week before school.

I actually spoke with someone from admissions 2 weeks ago, and he told me that they expected to notify everyone on the wait list by May 10th. I definitely hope it doesn't drag on that long or I'll be forced to commit to other programs.

Same here, R4 waitlist w/o interview.
Is there a generally understood meaning of being WL without an interview vs with?

I think Friday is the last to get an acceptance from McCombs. Given the fact that they started reviewing applications end of April, it's surprising that we haven't seen any movement yet. Good Luck all.

How does the acceptance take place?
1. Do they call people who got admitted? Or just email them?
2. Do they also call international students who got admitted? Or just email them? (I'm asking since I'm in Israel..it's 7-10 hours later than in the US)
3. Is Friday the deadline?
4. If one hasn't heard back by then is one automatically denied? Or is one to get an email?

Is it true that they can keep people on the WL until school starts? It wouldn't matter as people need to get ready for next year if they're denied but still..
Sorry for rambling..just wanted to be sure that the sleepless night will end anytime soon
Thanks

Hello from Lebanon! Here's hoping that things don't escalate into another needless war :(

While I'm not qualified to answer your questions, I would posit that the sleepless nights won't be ending too soon for most wait-listers. The reason being that wait-listers obviously take the place of admitted applicants who decline attendance. Logically, the majority of these should not be as close to the decision notification deadline as the applicant response deadline. With that said, it is widely accepted that Round 4 has room for very few admits in the first place, leaving even fewer spots to be declined and filled by wait-listers. On the other hand, there are always some who declared intent to matriculate, put down their deposits, moved off a wait-list at another school they preferred over UT, and change their mind, opening another spot for a wait-lister. This last scenario seems to potentially go on throughout the summer.

Soooo, yea let's not hold our breath just yet ;)

There's one thing you forgot my neighborino to the north :-) - International students need to get notified by a certain deadline - after which they cannot get their VISA issued :-)

Yea I did forget. I guess I'm lucky as a dual citizen to not have to worry about that. When is the Visa deadline?
