Ha, awesome thread. Haas was pretty good a school-specific - they sent a solar powered charger for all those sunny days. Not going to be using that too much in Boston, though!

Darden this year was a keychain and car decal

In the oh-so-critical judgement on pen quality for my admits, SOM won hands down. Though the orange ink in Darden's was pretty clutch

I was so excited when Wharton sent me tickets to go see Justin Timberlake! By far a better gift than any garbage Booth sent me. I love Wharton. It's the BEST!

I now have black leather portfolios from 3 different schools. They lose points for lack of originality.

So true, I would never use a padfolio with my school's logo on it anyway.

Does that mean you're not going to HBS?

Still deciding between HBS and GSB, but they both gave me black letter portfolios, so I can't use that as a distinguishing factor (lol)

I think bschoolaspirant was making a joke in response to Waiting Game...in regards to the stereotype that harvard people like to brag about being in harvard, a la the famous joke:

How do you know someone went to Harvard?
Don't worry, they'll tell you.

Some dark horse school should start sending out section/year/ocean/whatever fleeces (preferably some unreasonably expensive brand). I'm sure application volume would jump. The number one school in terms of application volume for 2014/2015 would end up being The Cordon Bleu School of Business (CBSB) or something similar.

PS. Let just be happy we got anything. I applied to an MPP program as well and their "swag bag" consisted of two pieces of paper :problem: ...Was I still happy....of course...was I disappointed that my leather portfolio/clutch collection had reached the end of its road...you bet ya.

Swag list:
Kelley gave us a car sticker in their admit packet, but their binder was leather, which is nice. At admit weekend, the girls got tote bags with a leather luggage tag, local granola and coffee, a pen, fancy notebook and Indiana business cards with our names on them. The men got the same with backpacks. Also, women who went to their preview events got Kelley aprons.

Notre Dame included a lapel pin, which I thought was classy. At their preview weekend, we got coffee mugs, lunch bags and this confusing desk thing. Also, the most comfortable pen I have ever used.

Merage-leather notebook

Olin-nothing.

From Kellogg, they had a nice water bottle at their admit day, pen and a free box of macaroons. Haven't gotten the packet yet, not that it matters since I will be going to Kelley.

Tepper had a ridiculously fancy pen that works as an ipad stylus. If people use those.

Did a school really give Justin Timberlake tickets? Or was that a joke?

Just finished UCLA's admit weekend, got some pretty sweet swag, as follows:

-anderson t-shirt (well designed, and choice of sizes)
-anderson drawstring bag -- super high quality (one that won't fall apart for a long time)
-anderson reusable water bottle...with infuser! (infuser attachment allows you to infuse fruits or veggies in your water - so LA!)
-anderson notebook and pen (eco friendly)
-the honest co organic lip balm (honest co = Jessica Alba's company, she worked with anderson folks to launch it)
-phresh wayfarer sunglasses (phresh = an anderson student's company
-anderson branded sunscreen
-hot wheels car (mattel is in LA)
-blu ray/dvd of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (Lionsgate is a big LA studio, Anderson alums are there)
