Based on what I've seen on the thread as well as the gmat applicant tracker for wharton, I believe we still have a decent amount of invites waiting to be sent out. My guess is that there will be one wave on Monday and then one final wave on the final day.
I did a quick count on the Wharton RD 1 applicant tracker:
# of applications submitted: 120
# of invited to interviews: 31
total: 151
Meaning that around 20% of people who have submitted applications have received invites. Of course the underlying assumption here (thanks CR) is that everyone who received an invite has updated...so to account for this, add on another 10-15 people who forgot to update and we are at around 25-30% invites. Per Wharton, they plan to send out invites to 40% of applicants. (

On a range of pessimistic to optimistic, I would say 25%-50% of the total invites are still waiting to be sent out.
Lastly, as a pt of comparison, I checked out Booth’s RD 1, which we know sends out invites all at once. I feel like Booth and Wharton are fairly equal in competitiveness.
# of applications submitted: 79
# of invited to interview: 52
# of denied without interview: 11
Total: 142
52/142 = 36.7%. Assuming 45% of applicants receive interviews (range is 40-50% per:
https://www.mbamission.com/blog/2011/04/ ... kurt-ahlm/) This means that 12 people did not update their statuses. This provides some support for the 10-15 figure I used above for Wharton.
Yeah – It’s been a slow morning at work but I too, lose a bit of hope as each day passes by. This is not a robust analysis, and reading it over I spotted a couple logic holes…but bottomline I am fairly confident in saying we still have a considerable amount of invites waiting to be sent out. It’s not over till it’s over!
