Duke (Fuqua) 2013 - Calling All Applicants

I wonder what the admission rate is for Invited/Interviewed Round 3 candidates. 100%? ::wishful thinking:: On the day I interviewed there were only 3 of us interviewing that day. Will they be calling all admits a few days before May 10? Longest week ever... ::sigh::

Well, you will be competing against all the waitlisted candidates. I don't think we ever found out about the admission rate. I am guessing its around 50%. Good Luck.

As for calls, no one knows... EA and R1 there were no calls, R2, decision day was on a Monday, and they called everyone on the Friday before (also updated status online too). So, last round was only 1 business day before to scheduled decision day... so who knows?

Good luck, I'll start worrying on Wednesday, and once we see the first person get a call, expect everything to move quickly

So if I applied in R3 and haven't received an invitation I can certainly assume that it will be a big thanks for participating

I dont think that's 100% the case. Most likely, but there is a chance you could be WLed and asked to interview in the coming months. It's definitely worth checking your status on friday.

But as an international applicant I think that is less probable. Anyways I will certainly check my status and hope for the best. And by the way I am sick of the wait lists. :P

Has anyone who applied Round 3 (and interviewed) gotten any sort of an update?

I know last round there were some calls prior to the deadline.

Thanks. I expect decisions to be released on Friday and don't expect receiving anything anytime sooner.

I've officially committed to Duke! Finally managed to find time to post this. Attended BDW in April and was really impressed with the adcom, student hosts, admitted students, and the mock-up classes. Love the weather and the absence of traffic. Can't wait to be in Durham!

So I made the mistake of re-reading an email I sent to Adcom, giving them a last minute update. In my re-read I noticed three typos. That said, I think I may have unintentionally withdrew my application. Ha. Good luck everyone. Only a few more days.

I hope you're right, AlanSmithee. I've worked hard thus far, and poured a lot of my heart into this. For my application to be tanked by three typos in an email would be a big blow. Looks like we'll find out tomorrow. Time to get pumped up! :boxer2

Dont worry about it, I'm pretty sure everyone has a few typos here and there... but I can empathize... it's tough knowing "well... that's it, the last part of this process I have any control over... and I messed it up"

We all go through that, don't beat yourself up over it.
