I got a ding after being waitlisted in 2nd round. It has been a long battle for me,i sent my update info and improved my gmat score (50 point +) but it didnt work, so its time for me to move on, I will attend the Kenan Flager Business program.

Did you go from 660 to 710 or was 660 your improved score. I am considering taking GMAT, but if you are on WL, then obviously they are not concerned about your scores.

Curious if the folks on the summer waitlist will continue to submit updates to Duke through the month of May? I submitted an update the last week of April, but am uncertain if I should submit an additional update reiterating my continued interest in attending the program. A few (as a in 3 or 4) spots should open up after the May 24th Round 3 deposit deadline.

I sent mine end of Apr, so definitely not sending one until early June - I think at some point additional updates don't really carry much weight, since they already know that Duke is your first choice. If you are on WL after R3 deadlines for all schools, it means that you haven't gotten into a school which you will pick over Duke. Now, it's all about the waiting game - Also, for some of the applicants, hearing back end of July doesn't really help because they can't pack and move in 1-2 weeks.

Oh that was just a guess. Someone a few posts back mentioned that Fuqua had a strong R2 yield - I figured that they wouldn't have that many slots open -- particularly since only few folks on this forum were admitted off the WL. I sure hope I'm proven wrong tho!

Any idea when they'll start calling waitlisted applicants? The deadline for deposits for Intl students was on the 15th so I wonder if they're waiting until after deadline for deposits for domestic applicants which is the 21st?

Does anyone know what the applicant volume was like this year? I saw on the wait list threads that the yield was higher than last year. I was just curious if the total numbers were higher as well.
