Re: Harvard (HBS) Calling all applicants - Class of 2016 [#permalink]
Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere- Which GMAT percentile to report? I took the test 6 months ago, and according to the official gmat website, my math percentile has dropped 3 percentile points already! Do I list the percentile on my official score report or adjust it according to the more updated scales on gmat.com? THANKS!

Yeah, that dip sucks doesn't it? :|

You can report either, the schools won't hold it against you if you use one versus the other. Most people enter what's on the report that they are uploading to the app.

There's different schools of thought out there as to whether you should be evaluated in the pool of applicants you tested with, or today's recalculated pool. There were some dramatic changes recently in percentile rankings, with much more fluctuation in the quant side than we recall ever seeing before. A 49Q is only 81st percentile now?? wow.

I think the most terrifying experience would be AFTER you submit it, the "wait". Hope it leads to a good result. :)

Anyone know what day interview invites/dings go out? In past years they have posted it. I know DL said, "mid October." Thanks!

You may notice at the end of the application under "Review" there is now the option of reviewing a Proof of your application.

I don't believe this was available a few days ago but I just noticed it today.

Hello,

I just wanted to ask whether there's a way to print the application before submitting it. I went to the review link but there's nothing like 'Preview' or 'Print Application', only 'Submit' and 'Save for Later'. I will need to make changes after viewing this preview.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Harvard (HBS) Calling all applicants - Class of 2016 [#permalink]
Hello all, I am looking for some advice regarding how the application shows up when it is converted to the review PDF. There are some cells that (even though the information fits into the text box) get cut off when transferred to the PDF. The FAQ on the website states "The Admissions Office receives the entire application in appropriate format and all fields are viewed clearly by the Board. The document that the applicant can view is an unformatted version of the final document."

My question is, should I take them at there word and not worry about what does and does not show up on the PDF or should I shorten some of my answers to make them fit in the PDF so I have no worry about them being cut-off. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Good luck to all!

Just to second that, that is definitely new. Very useful it is too. Even when uploading files like my CV - my 1 pager becomes 1 page and 1 sentence... I've had to tweak the format as I really want a 1 page CV. The formatting of the form itself though seems to come through fine - it's ugly though! I wouldn't want to read 100 of those...

I am planning to submit by tomorrow, both recommendations are in. Then the WAIT begins...
