I got a reply within a week after submitting my application
I submitted on 27th September and got an inerview Invite on 4th October.
I have it Scheduled for 21st October.
Hope I finish my search there and then and get an admit.

Yes hopefully you do! I submitted on October 4th on the last day. They said it takes 2-4 weeks to hear back. I will post an update once I do. Good luck on the 21st!

My interview is scheduled on 12th Nov.
Any tips on how to ace in the interview.

Hi there! Congratulations on the interview request! My advice would be to do your research on the school, make sure you know answers to questions such as "Why an MBA? Why ND? Situation when you were presented with an ethical dilemma." Be ready to think on your feet for a case question. Also, most importantly, be yourself. They are super nice on the interview and you're just having a conversation. They want to get to know you. I know it's nerve wracking but be yourself, be calm, and be prepared. Good luck!! Let us know how it goes :-D

Thanks for this valuable info. I will surely update you about the interview process. I just wanted to ask you about this case question. Is it some kind of Case study they conduct? If yes, will it be related to my field?

You're very welcome. Don't worry about the case question, it is just to see how you think on your feet. I have read some people who got them wrong and the interviewer said "that's what you'll go to business school to learn". Mine was a math related question but really don't stress about it. Also some people don't get a case question. Like I said just do your homework and be yourself :)

You know I just read the topic of this forum I am so sorry! I thought this was the Notre Dame forum! I interviewed for Notre Dame, not Penn State. I am sure the same advice can go for Penn State as well except maybe the ethical dilemma because ND is an ethics school and Penn State isn't really. Sorry about that =/ silly me! Good luck.

Hi all, I submitted my application on Nov 2nd and got the interview call on Nov 4th. Took the interview on Nov 7th and I thought it went well - very conversational. My boss also told me today that they had contacted him for some follow up questions to his recommendation. Of course I do not know what was asked, but I wanted to know if this was normal?

Gave the interview yesterday...they said they'll give the decision by Dec 5...fingers crossed and waiting...

Hi Everyone,

I submitted my application on Nov 6th. I received an email from Penn State Smeal saying that they will update me with either an interview date or a decline letter in 2 to 4 weeks.

Hence, I am waiting for it. However, based on the above posts, I feel that they tend to call you for interview within few days after submitting the applications. Now, since I have not received any call for interview for 5 days, is it a cause for concern?

5 days is not that much. I think out of which only 3 were working days. All the best!
